The first time I saw the parcel after the battle, I almost didn't recognize it.

The blue flame was gone. The cracks in the ground had closed. There was no trace of the seal that had held Rhys's wolf and Reid for ten years.

It was just land now.

Graymoor had decided that wasn't enough, so they had turned the parcel into a memorial garden. A stone path ran through beds of wildflowers and carefully planted shrubs, with benches placed beneath young trees. At the center stood a massive gray stone, taller than any person, its front covered with names.

Every name they could recover was there.

Lycans who had died because of the curse generations ago. Members of packs that no longer existed. Those lost during the battle. Even members of the Moonless Order who had died because of the curse they had tried to control.

I'd stood in front of the stone several times since it was finished.

I still wasn't used to seeing so many names together.
