Extra Chapter Part 2 - 5
I rushed out of the main palace to welcome the moonbird. The Timar envoys, who had been staring wide-eyed and frozen in place, followed us outside. The bird was gracefully gliding in front of the main residence.
"Moonbird? Are you back?"
Upon the bird’s response, I heard gasps from behind me. When I turned around, Amid and the Timar envoys were trembling with pale faces.
I could see exactly what they were mistaking. The moonbird might be referring to the baby moonbird, but the enemy envoys, oblivious of the situation, likely had a different interpretation.
They probably thought the guardian bird of Seven Hills had returned to defend us in the face of an impending war. Then, it wasn’t an interpretation that needed correcting.
"You may all leave now," I said coldly to the Timar envoys.
