"Why choose this kind of movie if you are afraid?" Kevin asked.
Loretta immediately forgot about the fear, "I am not afraid."
Kevin looked at her, "Then?"
Loretta opened her mouth, but no answer came. She had been caught.
After a moment, she slowly pulled herself out of his arms and returned to her seat. She straightened her clothes and settled back against the chair, putting on an expression that suggested nothing unusual had happened.
Kevin watched her for a moment. He did not understand why she was suddenly pretending to be so composed. He also did not understand why he disliked the distance that had appeared between them.
He was not one that liked others getting close to him until he truly liked them. There were less than five people alive he would let hug him. "Why does her closeness not annoy me?" Kevin wonder but unable to get the answer he pushed the thought away.
The movie continued.
