"Today we replace high walls and locked gates with doors that stay open for every citizen," Hajin announced to the crowd.
"The eastern hall houses the Witness Office where anyone may register petitions without paying tribute!" Marrick announced.
"The western hall expands our public infirmary and regional grain depot for families in need," Hans declared.
Three thousand commoners cheered across the flagstone square while children waved colorful ribbons in the breeze.
Lana stepped forward from the assembly carrying four newly drafted municipal petitions bound with linen ribbons.
"Four citizen petitions are already registered for review regarding canal maintenance and timber quotas," Lana reported.
