The Lord Minotaur roared as it swung its axe.
It suddenly lunged forward, moving sideways at incredible speed as it swung the axe toward Ethan once again.
Ethan smiled.
"I'm finally beginning to understand my own strength."
"Not only that"
He jumped into the air.
"I can fly."
Ethan closed his eyes for a moment and visualized himself flying.
He jumped higher.
His body lifted slightly into the air.
The axe passed underneath him.
Ethan landed back on the ground.
The Lord Minotaur's axe struck the floor beside him.
Ethan immediately jumped onto the axe.
He used it as a platform, performed a backflip, and landed safely to the side.
He began bouncing backward.
"I didn't get you this time."
He smiled.
"But now I will."
The Lord Minotaur became enraged.
It raised its axe.
Fog poured from its nostrils as it gripped the massive weapon with both hands.
Then
BOOM!
It slammed the axe into the dungeon floor with all its strength.
KRRRROOOOM!
The entire dungeon shook violently.
The sound echoed through the depths of the dungeon.
A flock of bats suddenly flew away from deeper inside the dungeon.
Then
CRACK!
A massive crack suddenly appeared in the ground.
The floor split open.
The crack rapidly spread toward Ethan.
Ethan smiled as he looked down.
"Flight"
He closed his eyes.
"I need to visualize it."
"Visualize myself flying."
He concentrated.
Then
[Flight activated.]
Ethan's body suddenly lifted off the ground.
He rose into the air.
His eyes widened as he looked down.
The ground beneath him had completely split open.
He stared into the enormous crack.
"Just how deep is that?"
He smiled.
"Look at how deep that is."
Ethan slowly moved his body forward.
He tried to fly.
But
"Whoa!"
His body suddenly lost balance.
He began spinning in midair.
"Hey!"
He desperately moved his arms and legs, trying to control himself.
"Wait"
He steadied himself.
Slowly, he began understanding how to control his movement.
He moved forward.
Then backward.
Then slightly upward.
A smile appeared on his face.
"I'm getting the hang of this."
Ethan raised his hand again.
"Fire ability."
He stretched his hand forward.
Flames began forming in his palm.
This time, however, the fire was much larger than before.
The flames grew rapidly.
They glowed a bright red as they gathered around his hand.
Ethan's eyes narrowed.
"Fire!"
The massive blast shot forward.
It moved faster than his previous attack.
The Lord Minotaur immediately sensed the danger.
Its expression changed.
It quickly raised its axe.
Then it jumped backward while using the massive axe to block the incoming attack.
BOOM!
The fire slammed into the axe.
Ethan smiled.
"The last time I fired my blast, it didn't dodge."
He looked at the Lord Minotaur.
"It knew the attack wouldn't even leave a scratch on it."
"But this time"
"It dodged."
His smile widened.
"That means it knew this attack was stronger."
"And it was smart enough to realize that it would actually hurt it."
Ethan flew forward.
He had finally gotten the hang of flying.
His body moved through the air as he flew directly toward the Lord Minotaur.
As he approached, Ethan suddenly raced downward toward the monster.
The Lord Minotaur immediately raised its axe and swung it toward him.
WHOOSH!
Ethan dodged sideways.
The massive axe thundered past him and slammed into the ground.
The Lord Minotaur immediately raised its axe again.
Ethan bent his body and avoided another attack.
The Lord Minotaur suddenly raised its enormous fist and tried to punch him.
Ethan dodged.
Then
He landed directly on top of the Lord Minotaur's head, between its massive horns.
The Minotaur froze.
Ethan crouched down and placed his hand against the top of its head.
He smiled.
"God Touch"
"Please"
"Give me all of it."
"Give me everything."
The moment Ethan activated the ability, he felt something different.
This time, he could feel it much more clearly than when he had taken the Bloodfang Wyvern's abilities.
A powerful force began flowing from the Lord Minotaur into his hand.
The Lord Minotaur suddenly raised its fist.
"ROOOAR!"
It violently shook its head.
Ethan was forced to jump away.
He landed safely on the ground.
The Lord Minotaur staggered.
Then a notification appeared before Ethan's eyes.
[Lord Minotaur's Strength acquired.]
[Lord Minotaur Skill acquired through God Touch.]
Ethan's body suddenly dropped.
His knees almost gave out.
"Guh"
His body felt heavier.
He quickly regained his balance.
Ethan raised his hand and stared at it.
He could feel something different.
"I feel"
He clenched his fist.
"Different."
He looked toward the Lord Minotaur.
"Pure strength"
The Lord Minotaur suddenly froze.
It looked at Ethan.
Then its expression changed.
Fear appeared in its eyes.
It looked down at its own hands.
It tried to raise its massive axe.
But
It couldn't.
The axe slipped from its hand.
BOOM!
It crashed onto the ground.
The Lord Minotaur stared at the weapon.
It couldn't understand what was happening.
Its body felt incredibly weak.
The strength it had possessed moments ago was gone.
The only thought remaining in its mind was to escape.
It turned around.
Then it started running.
Ethan stared at it.
A smile slowly appeared on his face.
"You're running?"
He immediately chased after it.
The Lord Minotaur fled deeper into the dungeon.
Ethan then noticed the enormous axe it had dropped.
He stopped.
He walked over to it.
He grabbed the handle.
The weapon was gigantic.
It was about seven feet long and incredibly wide.
It weighed approximately 1,500 kilograms.
Ethan wrapped both hands around it.
Then he lifted it.
His eyes widened slightly.
He smiled.
"This is heavy"
"But I can lift it."
