I was left in a state of conflict for a moment.
I was sure that I mistook whatever he just said as ‘kill’ instead of what he actually meant to say. But, it did kind of sound like he said he would kill anyone just depending on how they look at me…
I hesitated to check with him.
“Did you just say that you’ll kill anyone who looks disappointed by my appearance?”
“No, I’ll let them live.”
“Then what?”
“I’m going to handle anyone who tries to flirt with you.”
I sighed internally. Zahid worried far too much. There was no way that my small popularity in the South would extend all the way to the capital.
