" Carly, this won't work. One or two people coming won't matter, but if too many come, the lord on the other side will start a war." Adelaide was the first to disagree with Carly's plan. Just like when the people of Grey Castle Territory ran away to other territories, the lord wouldn't agree to it either.
"Alright! That is indeed a bit of a problem. You all say our territories are very close together, so it would be easy for the other side to attack." Adelaide's objection made Carly realize that her opinion was somewhat flawed.
"Hehe, I think Carly's suggestion is excellent. Let's do it this way. If they come over in the future, it will be voluntary and has nothing to do with us. We are not afraid of the lords attacking us. The road blocked by the falling rocks is our natural help."
Ed was very satisfied with Carly's idea. Population is the greatest resource. Buying slaves costs money, but her idea was excellent; it was essentially free.
This is fantastic tactic of undermining someone else's territory, and now we have two people who have personally experienced it serving as ambassadors. It's excellent, and with that road blocked, trying to ride a horse and deliver supplies to fight them makes it even more difficult.
"Hehe!" Ed couldn't help but laugh. What a clever way to harm others and benefit oneself.
"Master, is this really alright?" Adelaide was still a little worried.
"Don't be afraid, Adelaide. Go talk to Andrew later and ask him to arrange some Guard Teams to go to the north of the territory and build a few camps there later."
Ed thought that if possible, they should choose a good location in the north to build a pass later, then they would be absolutely safe.
"Yes, Master." Adelaide had no further objections to Ed's response.
" Lord Ed, don't forget what you just said." Carly, who was standing nearby, quickly reminded them when she saw that the two had almost finished talking; she really couldn't wait any longer.
"Okay, Carly, stick your head out." Ed said to Carly with a smile.
Carly was very obedient and moved closer to Ed. She thought Lord Ed was worried that she wasn't hearing clearly, so he kindly asked her to move closer.
"Thump." Ed extended his index and middle fingers, then bent them into a hook shape and gave Carly a flick on the forehead.
Ouch!
Carly covered her head, looking at Ed with a pained expression.
"Hehe!" Adelaide laughed and left, knowing that the two were about to start another boring conversation.
" Lord Ed, why did you knock on me?" Carly raised her hand, rubbing her forehead, and asked angrily.
"Isn't this the method you wanted to use to make Cuisine?" Ed replied innocently, spreading his hands.
" Lord Ed, what I need is the recipe for Cuisine. Is this the recipe for Cuisine?" Carly lowered her hand; the rubbing had probably worked, and her forehead wasn't hurting as much anymore. Of course, Ed wouldn't really hit her hard.
"Yes, Carly, congratulations, you got it right. This is the latest method for making Cuisine." Ed almost laughed, but he managed to hold it in.
"Alright! But I need a reasonable explanation, otherwise I won't believe it. And I won't accept this method of making Cuisine."
"Hehe! Carly, no problem. If you don't agree, then you don't agree. I'll think of some other cuisine."
Ed didn't really know how to explain it either. It was best if she didn't agree, as it saved him the trouble of explaining.
Upon hearing this, Carly was almost in tears. Hadn't she been knocked on for no reason? She couldn't let it go unpunished; she had to urge Lord Ed to speak.
" Lord Ed, have you thought of anything? Can you hurry up? I'm in a real hurry."
" Carly, don't rush. I need to think about it some more. After all, cuisine isn't easy to make. If you're in such a hurry, then I can only…"
After Ed finished speaking, he raised his hand again.
"Whoosh." Carly vanished in an instant.
