"Did I say anything to you? I know everyone's entry and exit mechanism," Damian said while tapping his fingers on the surface of the desk, his lips pursed. "But borrowing a card for up to six hours? What took so long, where is his own card?"
"I heard from Leo that because Ethan lost his access card, he borrowed Leo's card to go up to the fabric storage to check some sort of sample. And it was not until the afternoon, close to the end of the workday, that Ethan finally returned the card to Leo."
Damian gave him a glance, gesturing for Lucien to sit closer to him. "I am not scolding you, am I? Do not look at me with those eyes as if I have been preparing to pin all the blame on your head this entire time."
"I did not..." His voice grew slightly quieter. "It is just that when bringing up Ethan, I was afraid you might think I am mixing public matters with personal vendettas, and that because I dislike him, I am intentionally pinning this matter on Ethan."
