Lin Zhengran watched the little fox muttering to herself and held out his hand.
Han Wenwen eyed Lin Zhengran. Instead of taking his hand, she half-rose and wrapped her arms directly around his neck.
Pulling him into an embrace.
Her voice was seductive as she whispered in his ear, "I suppose you have some conscience after all, Zhengran. You still know how to placate me. So, what did you two do last night?!"
The second half of her sentence carried a hint of accusation as her sweet breath ghosted over his earlobe. "Why were you at a hotel?"
Lin Zhengran held the Little Fox, not speaking right away.
Instead, he just stroked her head with one hand.
Han Wenwen's foxy eyes stared at Lin Zhengran for another moment before she finally rested her head on his shoulder and closed them.
The gentle stroking seemed to drain the fight out of her. "Did something unexpected happen?"
