"With me, Martin Quinn, nothing is ever a given!" Martin Quinn's tone was incredibly aggressive.
"Thank you so much, Mr. Quinn, for going out of your way to bring me home!" The moment Nadia Chapman heard him state his name, she was inwardly shaken. 'He must be someone important,' she thought, 'otherwise Leo Fenton wouldn't have changed his tune so quickly! But I never imagined he'd be *the* Mr. Quinn of Aethelgard! I can't make a single wrong move now. He's someone I can't afford to provoke!'
"So obedient now?" A smirk played on Martin Quinn's lips. He found it hilarious that she was clearly resentful yet feigning immense gratitude. "In that case, I'll be waiting for your thank-you gift." Seeing her eyes fly wide with shock, his mood improved even further. "Drive!"
Leo Warren scrambled to start the car. 'I can't afford one slip-up,' he worried, 'or Mr. Quinn will replace me on the spot. If that happens, my subordinates will laugh me out of town!'
