Zerev lay on his side, looking at Ophelia's back, feeling incredibly pleased.
Feeling his burning gaze on her back, Ophelia couldn't take it anymore.
She turned around, pinched him hard, and snapped, "What are you looking at? Go to sleep."
Zerev let out a low chuckle. He pulled her into his arms, lowered his head, and planted a kiss on the top of her head.
"All right, let's sleep."
With Zerev by her side, Ophelia didn't have any more nightmares that night.
She had assumed a dream was just a dream, not reality.
But at noon two days later, while she was sitting in the sun eating an apple, a battered Beast Servant suddenly stumbled back into the compound.
Several arrows were still lodged in the wings on his back.
"What happened?"
Ophelia had already seen crude bows and arrows from the Mountain Goat Clan, so she wasn't surprised by the nature of the Beast Servant's injuries.
However, seeing him return in such a wretched state made her heart leap into her throat.
