"So the firm is closed today. You should go home!"
Mr. Shaw could finally state his ultimate goal.
Before he could even breathe a sigh of relief, Evelyn Grant suddenly asked, "Mr. Shaw, if I hadn't been feeling unwell today, would the firm still have had a power outage?"

Evelyn Grant's lips twitched into a smile. Her face was pale, and her voice was tinged with weariness. "It just seems like every time something comes up and I can't make it to the firm on time, or when I need a day off, the firm just so happens to have an issue and needs to close."
"Is that so?" He laughed guiltily, adopting the air of a boss to allay Evelyn Grant's suspicions. "That can only be a coincidence! You've seen how many people we have at this firm. Think of how much money we'd lose by closing for just one day!"
"So, the person behind the scenes isn't short on cash, is he."
'Behind the scenes?'
