I stood in the middle of the makeshift stage with Martin beside me. Tapping on the microphone, I waited for all eyes to be on us. "Anyone else, please join us in the game room," I said.
I could see and hear Geoffrey ushering in a few stragglers from the patio and the living room area. Once I was satisfied all the guests were present, I pulled a whistle out of my pocket and gave it a hard blow.
"Women over here," I walked to the side of the stage and held out my arm, indicating they should form a line, "and men over here." I traversed the stage to the other side. Everyone looked at me a little confused, standing still. "Move it, move it, move it," I said in my best drill sergeant voice.
Once everyone got into formation, after a little coaxing and direction from me, I stood still in the center of the stage again. "Face each other," I demanded. "Now turn to the stage." Everyone did so.
