Overwhelmed by Yvonne's aura of authority, the crowd didn't dare to say anything. They continued to eat with their heads down. And no one bothered to pay attention to what she was going to say.
Lisa had to return to her seat.
Brant glanced at the crowd and spoke, "Yvonne, let's talk after dinner."
"Okay then."
Yvonne was not in a hurry. She lowered herself into the sofa and waited patiently.
Brant returned to his seat, with no appetite.
Under the watchful eye of Yvonne, the Whites finished the meal quickly. All of them obviously felt something wrong.
"Brant, we're too stuffed. We will go back first," Jane said and hurriedly gave her husband and daughter a wink.
Brant did not stop. "Goodbye."
Jane hurriedly dragged her husband and daughter towards the door.
Suddenly, Yvonne spoke, "Uncle Brian, Aunt Jane, what a pity you have to leave so soon!"
