Yvonne was a little embarrassed as she looked at the coarse grain oatmeal in her bowl.
"Thank you, Mom."
"Go on, eat up. By the way, where is James? Is he still sleeping?"
Mrs. Taylor asked.
Yvonne replied truthfully, "He's changing clothes. He said that he has something important to attend to at the office."
Mrs. Taylor frowned. "What's up at the office? Going to work right after getting married? I'll talk to him about it."
As she spoke, she got up and was about to go upstairs.
Seeing this, Yvonne was about to stop her.
Just then, James came downstairs.
"James, you've just gotten married. Why are you going to work right after? Leaving Yvonne by herself."
"Mom, I have something important at the company. I have to go."
"What could be more important than Yvonne? You can't go."
As Mrs. Taylor spoke, she pushed him down and made him sit beside Yvonne.
