Torin looked in front of him with shock in his eyes. But soon they were replaced by fury. Just as he was about to speak, a cheerful voice appeared in the entire kitchen.
"Butter, come quickly. I have prepared a surprise for you. I prepared something for Devin also but how can I let you go with no surprise."
With that, Kyle appeared in front of him like a ghost and dragged him inside with no care of the world. Torin looked at the chefs and they all looked at him with tears in their eyes. Torin never saw this expression on their faces.
It was like they were worshipping him. He was confused but soon his confusion was replaced by horror as he appeared in front of the food that Kyle prepared for him Kyle looked at him and spoke,
"I have decided to make up with you and the first step is stomach. So, the first step was cooking. I cooked this dish for you. I wanted others to taste it but they said that the head chef has to be the first to taste it."
When the third head chef heard that, he got an ominous feeling and then his expression turned pale the next second.
"But then just as the head chef was going to taste it, he heard your footsteps. He told me that you should be the first one to taste it since you are the reason I made this."
Hearing the entire story, Torin looked at the head chef and his eyes revealed a dangerous glow. The head chef was scared when he saw that but he couldn't do anything.
Kyle served the food and placed it in Torin's hand and spoke,
"Now taste it and tell me. This is the first time I made food for someone and that person is none other than my partner."
Torin looked at the sincereness on Kyle's face and he realised that Kyle was really putting efforts for him. Torin couldn't find any reason to refute. He looked at the boiling black and purple substance served in front of him and he sighed in defeat.
He glanced at all the chefs as if to remember their faces and then he looked at the food once again. In the end, he opened his mouth and took the first spoon.
Everyone was looking at him as if he was doing a great sacrifice and trin could feel it from their gazes but the next moment he froze. He looked at Kyle with an astonished expression and then he looked at the food.
Kyle was looking at Torin with twinkling eyes. Torin took another spoon and everyone froze. They looked at Torin. Torin ignored them and spoke,
"It is not bad."
He thought that his evaluation was not bad and the chefs were surprised because this much evaluation means that this food was really good. They looked at Kyle and then at the food. Now they all were interested in this thing.
But contrary to others, Kyle looked at Torin and he pouted slightly. He spoke,
"Not bad. What do you mean not bad? I gave all my effort and all you said is not bad."
Hearing this, Torin became silent. He got a feeling that anymore than this and he might be in danger. He hesitated for a moment and spoke,
"Look at the food's appearance. This deducted the evaluation.
Then look at the state you are in, this decreases the impression and finally look at the condition of the kitchen area around you.
A chef means the efforts that were used in the food but beside that, the other factors are equally important for a chef."
Hearing this, Kyle became silent and observed around him and his mood immediately took a change and he smiled. He asked,
"So, my food was great."
Torin looked at the chefs and spoke,
"Let them taste since you don't believe me."
Hearing this, Kyle readily nodded and then the chefs looked at the bowl filled with black and purple liquid. The appearance dampened all the mood to eat the food but they still opened their mouth and ate the food.
They all froze in the next moment and they looked at each other with surprise. To think that the outside would be different from inside what they all thought.
Kyle looked at the surprise in their eyes and the head chef was the first to spoke,
"Little boss, your food is good but as the boss said, the food alone is not the responsibility of a chef so, I am going with the same remark as him."
Others also nodded when they heard that. Kyle became depressed but he looked around him and he consoled himself. After that, he waved his hand and water started to gather all around him. He commanded the water and then everything began to clean.
Kyle also used the water on him and cleaned himself. Everyone was stunned when they saw that and the head chef and Torin narrowed their eyes slightly as they looked at the scene in front of them.
Aside from the marks and the physical damage, everything else was cleaned by Kyle. He looked at Torin and spoke,
"Since my cooking was passable, can you teach me how to cook?"
Torin looked at Kyle and spoke in a cold voice,
"no."
Hearing this, Kyle was stunned. He looked at Torin wide with eyes and then he asked,
"Why?"
Torin deeply looked at Kyle and spoke,
"Because I don't want my hard work to be wasted and get it close."
Hearing this blunt reply, Kyle looked at Torin for a few minutes before his eyes became teary. He spoke,
"Okay then. I will not come in this kitchen ever again unless you say it on your own but I will pester you till you die. Just you wait."
With that, Kyle turned and left the place. After he left, the third head chef became like a scaredy cat and retreated with each step. The others also followed. But suddenly, rich buttery pheromones were released with pressure. Everyone froze.
Torin turned and looked at them. He flashed a bright smile and spoke,
"It seems that you guys enjoyed your time during work. I have been going easy on all of you."
Hearing this, everyone pleaded with their boss but the result was the same- punishment.
