Chapter 76 - End of his first ever class

For a few seconds the colours around him had a brighter tone than they normally would. Anaphol noticed that distinction.

What he did not see, was Hudenro's brows ever so slightly furrowing, and before he could say anything.

The kaleidoscopic space truly descended upon Anaphol.

However, this time? Naph had stood up to go look closer to one of the colour patches of light around him. Stepping around it to look at the object whose light were brighter at that space only to find it at the same tone as before him saying cata.

As the kaleidoscopic space descended, or rather collapsed, Anaphol for the first time saw the devastating speed at which it collapses from an outside perspective. The point to which the kaleidoscopic space collapsed was exactly to his right by less than forty centimeters.

The shock of his heart beating faster came later compared to the sonic boom that did not have a single ounce of noise within it.

A simple crash of air to fill the teleported space. Even the air crashing was soundless, yet had that devastating force. Force mighty enough to uproot the polished surface of the desk and seat he was on.

And then there was silence.

Anaphol's breaths matching his rapidly beating heart. The very next thing he or anyone heard was a laughter.

Laughter by Professor Hudenro.

"Oh, boy! Now that's a lesio worth exploring." Those were his first words after such a dramatic ending to his class.

Before anyone could ask or even Naph object in any form, a melodious ringing spread over the campus declaring the end of the first period.

"That's a wrap for this class. Everyone while stepping out of the class please come and take one of the copies of the syllabus from me." Professor Hudenro turning and going around the teacher's desk, "So that, even if you miss a class or half of it, you have the ability to catch up to your peers. And," Hudenro's gaze scanned his students, "in case any of you need the syllabus for any other classes in your schedule either go to any of the libraries on campus or come to me." He gave a smile, "It is part of my job for the current new joinees."

One of the girls, yes, that one, cursed under her breath. Hudenro heard it so he simply spoke aloud, "Anaphol! Why don't you start with leaving the class and taking the syllabus?"

'Someone's peppy in their step.' Naph thought, and deep within himself, he wondered whether he used the sentence rightly or not, having only heard it in passing a few times.

Students had already stood up to walk to the front of the class, Professor Hudenro called out to all, "I'll call you when it's your turn to leave." Naph half way to the front found his words a bit misleading or deceitful, but to whom wasn't clear to him.

Extending his hand, Hudenro said whilst he stared down the rest of the class into submission to sit down, "Here's your syllabus book Anaphol. Enjoy your next class!" Pointing to the door through which Anaphol and plenty of students had entered in the start of the class, Hudenro continued, "There's the exit." His last four words truly spoken in Reswa and Reswa alone.

"Ok." Naph nodded his head once and began walking to the exit. Three steps, nine steps, 12 steps. There wasn't another name called even when Anaphol grabbed and twisted the handle to open the door.

Anaphol looked back at Professor Hudenro who was rearranging the syllabus books, then at the students who were looking dead straight at Professor Hudenro while a few glimpsed at Anaphol. He emptied his mind and closed the door to the class he realized the partial truth of.

The door closed, a few steps resounded through the corridor outside. It was of one single person.

Class whose door was closed had a professor that simply stated, "Now, let's begin the Orientation and Introductory class for new students. I am Professor Hudenro."

None within moved.

While the one outside, took a breath and walked away from the closed door.

Some more minutes went by as Anaphol sat in an empty cafeteria, people did come by into the cafeteria but for some reason they left soon enough. More sooner than someone normally would leave, if they forgot to do something somewhere else.

He had no plate in front of him nor did he open to read the syllabus for the class he had.

"Why aren't you standing in front of your next class?" Asked one of the only voices he recognized here. Turning around Naph saw Sirius Red in the distance about to enter the cafeteria.

But that wasn't the one who spoke. It was Dren Verticia.

His eyes were dark. Incredibly so, that Anaphol saw himself reflected back in such a dark shade within Dren's pupils and irises.

"What are you doing here, Dren?" Naph was puzzled. "Did they too.." He thought he could be the only one to be treated that way.

"No, I wasn't. I wasn't tricked into leaving the class." Dren had went back to Naph's first period class to get him early.

"I am here but." Dren looked into Naph's eyes then he glimpsed behind Naph the book of Orientation and Introduction. Closed.

"I am here to be with you in the next period's class. We have the same one." Dren settled down next to him on another chair.

Continuing to tell what he knew, Dren shared. "As far as I found out, teachers here," he silently moved about his tongue within, "have developed a certain opinion against you. That first one or any in your schedule are not going to be easy. Also," he raised a finger.

A screaming but melodious ringing that reverberated through their clothes right after.

"That marks the beginning and ending of a class." Dren remarked.

Anaphol nodded understanding the difference between the two sounds. He had his lips parted, but Dren answered his question before he asked.

"The next is the class for lesio of flight."
