Chapter 75 - Structuring Anew

Hudenro's teaching plan always included using the students' lesios as examples to help them better control it. So Anaphol's example wasn't something too out of the ordinary.

Except it felt slightly off. Atleast to Professor Hudenro. He wanted to dismantle Naph's lesio's effect he had turned into sheets and then into a ball, to study it and dissociate its hidden mechanisms further.

What did surprise him about the lesio's effect was the fact that he had to use more than three to properly control and suppress it. 'This truly is one of a kind. Not uncommon but sparse. Not even rare.' This was the comment he filed it with in his mind to be added to his report of the class to the department heads. He was simultaneously thinking about what lesio will be able to single-handedly overpower or control it much better than his current three.

He continued his back and forth upon the syllabus of this class without ever showing the syllabus until another hand raised itself.

The girl who raised it waited for Professor Hudenro to notice it. But he didn't.

So, she said, "Professor, I have a question."

Hudenro nodded. 'I guess not all are paying attention...-'

"Why are you simply hopping around the idea behind this class? Shouldn't we get the syllabus?"

Snapping his fingers, "And which lesio is stopping you from asking this nearly thirty minutes ago?" The girl about to retort stopped as Professor Hudenro signaled with an open palm to stop. "That… was partially rhetorical."

Stepping towards the teacher's desk, with a single wave of Professor Hudenro's left hand plenty of books made themselves aware upon it to the audience.

Turning back and facing the girl in her eyes from the front of the teacher's desk, Professor Hudenro asked. "And why should I give you a detailed syllabus that's right behind me?"

Anaphol's questions during all the time till now had been answered, same as for Sirius Red. A few other students were answered too. All in a different language except while speaking to Anaphol in Reswa. He still understood them because of the lesio translating it.

"Because that's the structure of a class!" She whisper screamed.

Exhaling and finally accepting that this class does not have geniuses who wants to show their genius. Hudenro explained his reasoning.

"Orientation is a path. But it also has a root in structuring. And since I broke the structure of a class." Looking up at the girl, "What did you learn?"

"Nothing!" She spoke up but her brows furrowed. Reconsidering, she continued, "Not nothing. Just… not everything I expected as per previous classes seniors talked about."

Nodding Hudenro let the girl continue.

"I-" She realized one thing she hadn't done, that she had not followed. And due to that for the first time she felt as if an effect she always sensed gripping her was not there. A grip born of a naturally born lesio within her.

"I didn't get shocked." She whispered to herself.

"Yes, you didn't." Hudenro answered. He knew what she said could have only been heard by her, yet he responded.

"I-, uh, I am," frantically she thought of what to say, "I am the sixth daughter of-" Her lesio began acting up as it crawled up finally from her right ankle. Lights flashed within her pupils.

Before the ones next to her could move, Hudenro was there by her side already grabbing onto her right ankle.

The next thing that happened was him dragging out the web-like infection out of her ankle. "Keep continuing." He stated as he brought her ankle to her other knee's level.

Gazing into the ankle, he did not care how flustered she became. She tried to force stomp her foot down. It did not work. His hands were same as the concrete beneath her.

Eyes not just of the female students but of the male ones were on her. On the scene unfolding between a teenage girl and her professor.

Grabbing on the pleats near her waist, she resounded across the class. "Sir! Will you please put my ankle down?!" Her voice carried the flush of embarrassment she had, even if it was mitigated a lot by the fact she was wearing tight-fitting jeans under her skirt. Yet, it wasn't in truth.

"You have a peculiar lesio. It's… " He looked up from her ankle to the girl's face. "We can discuss this later with people you trust in the academy present then."

Hudenro let go of her ankle. He stood up and began walking down the steps to the front.

"You should apologise!" She screamed out.

Without stopping or turning back, Hudenro answered. "Did I disgrace you? Or did I save you from the damage of a late lesio effect?"

The girl had a response ready. Hudenro voiced over her. "Is the pain and physical embarrassment caused by the possible effects of your lesio lower in your priority compared to the embarrassment of rumours that would target me in truth and not you?"

A near high pitched hiss snaked through the class. Many were surprised as to where did it come from, but to some they knew. It originated from the girls' frowning shut lips.

The class went on. A few more questions were answered. Anaphol felt the very definition he had given cata being a mere sentence and not truly what represents cata.

Sirius Red continuing to probe indirectly about how Professor Hudenro will resolve Anaphol's disability to say cata without triggering a lesio intrigued Naph as much as it was found a bit fascinating by another boy a few rows to his right.

Giving in to Sirius Red's continued queries, Professor Hudenro directly asked Anaphol a simpler question. One Sirius or any other student should have asked him already. If only it wasn't Jhorime, the question may have been asked quite earlier.

"Do you feel any change about the word cata within you?"

This was a question not simply to Anaphol but to others in presence too. Anaphol considered it by thinking of the very word on purpose.

The shimmering kaleidoscopic space this did not come in its true effect as to back when he had used it on the ship from Rentilaco to Central Monite. Within him, he felt a change having taken deep roots into the thoughts of what is cata.

Thus, he answered. "I think..," he gulped down a breath, "I can say," he exhaled, "cata."

No new kaleidoscopic space instantly enveloped him. But a different effect for the first time happened.

The kaleidoscopic space only came into existence around him in patches and vanished.

"You have begun your path to structuring anew what does cata mean to you." Professor Hudenro nodded.

"Did I really?" Naph looked at space right in front of him that seemed to carry a little bit more colour than it had a moment ago.
