Chapter 11 - The Government’s Knock

The success of the Divine Glow Serum had reached the ears of the higher-ups in Abuja. Austin was sitting in his mansion's study, reviewing the blueprints for his next product—a tablet that could cure malaria in a single dose—when a convoy of three white SUVs pulled into his driveway.

Men in dark suits and barret-wearing security officers stepped out. At the lead was a tall, stern woman with a gold NAFDAC badge pinned to her lapel.

"Austin!" his Aunt called out, her voice trembling. "There are big people here to see you!"

Austin walked downstairs, his Eyes of Truth scanning the group.

[TARGET: DR. ADAMA, DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL MEDICAL REGULATION.]

[MOOD: SUSPICIOUS / IMPRESSED.]

"Mr. Austin," Dr. Adama said, not bothering with a handshake. "Your 'miracle serum' has sold 100,000 bottles in three days. In Nigeria, we don't believe in miracles—we believe in science and regulation. You are operating a pharmaceutical laboratory without a federal license."

"I am saving lives and creating jobs, Doctor," Austin replied calmly. "My products are 100% natural and 100% effective. Isabella is living proof."

"Isabella is an actress. I need clinical trials," she snapped. "Until then, I have an order to seal this warehouse and seize your equipment."

[SYSTEM MISSION: PREVENT THE SEIZURE.]

[HINT: THE DIRECTOR IS SUFFERING FROM A HIDDEN AILMENT.]

Austin narrowed his eyes. On the System screen, a red glow appeared over Dr. Adama's liver.

[DIAGNOSIS: CHRONIC HEPATITIS B—ADVANCED STAGE.]

[LIFE EXPECTANCY WITHOUT DIVINE INTERVENTION: 18 MONTHS.]

"Doctor," Austin said, lowering his voice. "You didn't come here just to shut me down. You came because you've tried every hospital in London and New York, and they all told you the same thing: your liver is failing."

The room went silent. Dr. Adama's face went pale. She looked at her guards and then back at Austin. "How... how do you know that?"

"I don't just make skincare, Doctor. I see what others choose to hide." Austin reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, green pill he had crafted in the Divine Archive earlier that morning. "This is the 'Genesis Tablet.' Take it. If your pain isn't gone in five minutes, you can arrest me and burn this house down."

The guards moved forward, but Dr. Adama held up her hand. She stared at the pill, then at Austin's confident eyes. She took the pill and swallowed it.

For three minutes, nothing happened. Then, a sudden warmth spread through her body. For the first time in years, the dull, heavy ache in her side vanished. Her eyes, which had been yellowed by jaundice, began to clear.

[MISSION COMPLETE!]

[REWARD: FEDERAL MEDICAL LICENSE GRANTED, 5,000 EXP!]

Dr. Adama breathed out a long, shaky sigh. "The order to seal the warehouse... it was a mistake," she whispered to her men. She turned to Austin. "You aren't just a businessman. You're a national treasure. But be careful—the international drug companies won't be as easy to convince as I was."

Austin watched them leave. He had the government on his side now. But he knew the "Big Pharma" giants in Europe and America would see his malaria cure as a threat to their billions.

The real war for the Global Empire was just beginning.
