Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 – The Choice

The world I chose was a K-drama… and the worst part? It was All of Us Are Dead.

As it started loading, my nervousness grew with every second. Suddenly, I felt extremely dizzy and fell to the ground.

When I opened my eyes, I found myself in a strange house. A man I had never seen before was standing in front of me, asking me to get up and have breakfast.

It took me barely thirty seconds to realize the truth.

I was inside the drama.

A mix of fear and excitement rushed through me.

Trying to stay calm, I took a deep breath and asked the man if I could stay home that day. But no matter how much I insisted, he refused. I had no choice but to go to school.

But I already knew what was going to happen.

So the first thing I did was secretly gather some food and drinks for later. I had a complete plan ready in my mind.

After all the preparation, I felt confident that I could survive the zombies.

But it wasn't as easy as I thought.

When I actually saw them—when they started attacking—I was terrified.

Somehow, I managed to survive.

And then suddenly… everything went black.

I fell to the ground again.

The next moment, I was back on my bed. My phone was beside me, the game still open, and Violet's voice echoed from the speaker.

"Vivian? Vivian, are you there?" she asked.

"I… I'm here," I replied weakly. "The game is real. I chose All of Us Are Dead… and I was actually inside it."

"What are you saying?" she said. "You must've fallen asleep and had a dream. Anyway, we'll talk about this tomorrow. I'm really sleepy. Good night."

The call ended.

But I was still in shock.

It didn't feel like a dream. I could remember everything—every detail, every moment.

I knew it was real.

That night, I couldn't sleep at all.

The next day at school, I told Diana and Violet everything that had happened. As expected, they didn't believe me.

Even after explaining everything, they still thought I was imagining things.

So I decided to prove it.

I invited them over to my house for a slumber party.

They came early that evening, and after talking for a while, we opened the game again.

We all sat on the floor, my phone placed between us.

"This is the game?" Diana asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes," I said. "Just wait."

Violet crossed her arms. "I still think this is just a normal game and you overreacted."

"Just watch," I replied.

We started playing together, clearing level after level. The game felt strangely real—more intense than any normal game.

"Okay… why does this feel so different?" Diana said slowly.

"Exactly!" I said. "That's what I was trying to tell you."

After some time, we finally had enough coins.

The screen changed.

Different worlds appeared, glowing softly.

Violet leaned closer. "Wait… what is this?"

"These are the worlds," I said quietly. "You can choose one… and enter it."

Diana laughed nervously. "Enter it? Vivian, stop making it sound scary."

"I'm not joking," I said. "I already tried it."

Both of them looked at me.

"You're serious?" Violet asked.

I nodded.

There was a moment of silence.

"Fine," Diana said. "Let's say I believe you. What happens if we choose one?"

"We go inside," I replied.

"And what if we don't come back?" Violet asked softly.

I hesitated.

"I came back," I said.

"That's not reassuring," she muttered.

The three of us stared at the screen.

"So… which one are we choosing?" Diana asked.

"No horror," Violet said immediately.

"Agreed," Diana added. "I am NOT going into zombies."

I couldn't help but smile. "See? Now you believe me a little."

"Not fully," Violet said. "But enough to be scared."

We all laughed nervously.

But none of us looked away from the screen.

Because deep down…

we all knew this wasn't just a game.
