But the prosperity and wealth of terra confederation is no longer ignored by empire. The phantasia populus, become jealous of terra populus to mage to gain everything without magic. Nevertheless the emperor, nobles, elites and even common folks of magical humans felt strong greed and want to plunder the inferior humans due to their twisted beliefs that everything that terra populus earned is rightfully belonged to phantasia populus. Thus, the emperor declared war to acquire all their wealth and properity for empire, believing they can take care of everything that inferior human has and they need them more than inferior human would.
In Terra Confederation, the terra populus is stunned at audacity, entitlement and delusion of their magical cousins. Not wanting to lose everything that they rightfully earned to be taken away by their tyrannous cousins, and willing to protect the paradise they managed to built, they eventually decides to protect the nation.
The army knights, archers and mages of empire arrived close to borders of Terra Confederation, they believed it would be easy victory, but the moment they charged ahead, the meet with rain of leads. The confederation gunmen start firing at the incoming knights and mages, the sniper took down the archers and lead mages along with commanders and the general, the war end merely in a day, as empire underestimated the technological nation.
But confederation army didn't stop there, they retaliated, the sent there helicopter, mobile artilleries, tanks, infantry vehicles and large army of confederation soldiers armed with standard firearms, they attacked and annexed the frontier vilages, towns and the large portion of land ahead. The mages and archers is no match for someone with assault rifles, shotguns, light maching guns, sniper rifles ans so on. Even knights who take even defeat a mage, cannot even reach the gunmen of confederation. The tanks destroyed the walls, mobile artilleries bypassed all obstacle and hit the important places of enemy land. The helicopters rained death from sky, killing all oppositions.
The reason confederation did this, as they know about greed and entitlement of empire. They believed that the only way for terra populus to survive is to strike the phantasia populus first. Meaning they have to kill the enemy before enemy kills them, especially when enemy is willing to plunder everything that one rightfully earned.
The war proved to be not just loss for empire but also had their pride wounded, though it also increases their greed as they want to steal those modern technology even more. For the current emperor of Arcana Empire, the Terra Confedearation is a prize to be claimed, even if it meant to kill every non-magical humans. Thus, the emperor and lords of Arcana decided to strengthen their nation for another war to annes Terra and kills all terra populus to become the new owners of everything they had built.
Thus, after gaining some strength, the empire launched the war again to annex Terra to plunder their prosperity and regain their honour during their defeat in first battle. But Terra wins again and annex more land of Arcana. The empire due to it's greed, superiority complex and wounded pride launched war again and again after few years. The phantasia populus were convinced that they will eventually win and crush the inferior humans and claim everything they believe is rightfully belonged to them.
But as ten centuries passed, the empire who has lost half of their land to confederation, they eventually realised they cannot win even after increasing the funding for magical research as modern technology evolves rapidly while magic take time to evolve as it require more time and resource to develop. To make the matter worse, Terra built new tanks, infantry vehicles, artilleries, helicopter and even fast moving fighter aircrafts and bomber aircrafts.
The confederation even researched new grenades, stealth technology and even magnetic firearms, the second generation conventional firearms, as well as laser firearms, the first generation unconventional firearms which are cheaper to produce and maintain than magnetic firearms.
The empire who had been the one who attacked the confederation first is noe on defensive. The confederation who cannot trust phantasia populus and fear their eventually retaliation, decided to attack first instead. As the result the next wars are the ones started not by empire but by confederation for self-preservation and complete eradication of what they see as existential threat.
Within, five centuries, Terra developed it's first walker units, the one infantries, the on for tough enemies and a variant of walkers serving as new mobile artillery, which can fire from great distance, though it didn't replace the non-walker mobile artillery, which is cheaper option despite it's range being lower, which the compensates by installing stealth devices, making it difficult for enemy to use detection magic or hijacked radar to detect them easily.
They even reinforced their military bases, with automated turrets consistining of one meant for infantries, one meant for tougher foes and one meant for foes in sky, the confederation also built watchtowers which is a turret of tower to take down infantries, modern cannons meant for tough foes and anti-air batteries that fire rapidly on foes in sky.
As the result, the imperials finally understanding their existential crisis decides to increase their training of mages, increasing the production of alchemical items, ritualist providing support and huge investments on improvements on runes.
But unknown to empire, these are meaningless as confederation already finished tthe testing for experimental weapons, which are all different types of unusual firearms, like flamethrowers, cryolators, corrosive sprays, tesla guns and so on.
The confederation even finished the testing of second generation unconvential firearms, the charged particle beam firearms aka CPB firearms.
The rapid invention, production and deployment of new weapons made the empire going from hunter to hunted.
Thus, another war begins, the empire invested in lightning towers, magic cannons and even magical air warships. But it was useless against the stealth bomber aircrafts, combat capable patrol VTOLs, multipurpose combat war VTOLs, a hybrid of fighter and bomber aircrafts called pyrohawks and new combat helicopters, destroyed all defences and empire's air forces.
If that was not enough, the confederation unveiled and utilised their weapons of mass destruction, the energy cannon satellites and nuclear missiles, the empire could counter energy beams albeit barely with help of many mages but nuclear missiles in uncounterable leading to one sided destruction. The empire has it's own weapon of mass destruction, but it require vast amount of magic and larger time to charge. In contrast to energy cannon that take less time or nuclear weapons that could be stacks and could be fired at once. It is clear the empire made huge mistake by challenging a technologically superior nation.
