Sera asked and rolled her eyes for what felt like the hundredth time. Kael shrugged, still looking as smug and confident as always. But looking the way he did, she couldn't really blame him for being so self-assured…
They were all dressed in normal traveler's clothes so they wouldn't stand out. Mostly because there was that little problem of the law not allowing demons to be on human land. So they had decided to ride under the radar.
But nothing could take away from the fact that the Demon Lord looked incredible on top of his white stallion, looking better and more elegant than any noble human that Sera had ever encountered!
Life was so unfair sometimes...
"I do."
He casually replied, as easily as if they were discussing the weather.
"Then why aren't you back at the castle running it?"
Sera hissed in annoyance---
Secretly pleased to have him there.
But she would rather eat her left shoe than admit that...
