This time it was her Royal Guards – Vorren and Cassiel – she was referring to, who were behind her; but to her right. The two demons rode several paces back, acting as the expedition's heavy artillery should something decide that eating diplomats sounded like an enjoyable afternoon activity.
They also served as additional bodyguards, despite Sera insisting that she didn't need them...
