Riley's POV
Caleb guides me away from the house, his hand wrapped firmly around mine as we head toward his place. My mind races with questions about why we need old clothes just to visit his home, but I decide to trust his lead and see where this goes. Then he surprises me by walking straight past his house without even glancing at it.
We continue past the familiar creek that winds through our neighborhood.
When we finally stop, I find myself staring at the entrance to the old tunnel Caleb and I discovered years ago during our childhood adventures. The same tunnel that cuts straight across town, forgotten by most people. I tilt my head up to meet his gaze, completely bewildered. "What are we doing here?" The question comes out more confused than I intended. This seems like such an odd destination for whatever he has planned. His smile widens before he starts pulling me toward the dark entrance.
