Riley's POV
Five months have passed, and here I am, confined to this bed with my belly swollen to impossible proportions. At eight months pregnant with twins, every day feels like an eternity. The thought of actually giving birth terrifies me more than anything I've endured so far. If it weren't for the agony I've already survived that landed me in this helpless state, I might have found a way to escape this inevitable moment.
The pain that's coming frightens me beyond words. We've all reached the same conclusion about my father's intentions - he wants these babies born. The reasoning remains unclear, but considering he had the perfect opportunity to eliminate us during our last encounter and chose not to, this seems like the only logical explanation.
The real nightmare will begin once they arrive. Protecting two newborns will be nearly impossible.
