Synopsis
In the hit RPG Chronicles of the Rising Hero, the legendary protagonist was supposed to be the world's salvation. Instead, he fell before the Forsaken God, Amarut, plunging the world into a chaotic "Bad Ending." Aiden knows this better than anyone—he spent ten years mastering every secret and watching every character die. Now, he’s woken up inside the game, not as the hero, but as a nameless Extra with a violent sister and a one-way ticket to the "Demon Invasion" massacre. Aiden has no interest in playing the martyr. If the protagonist is a "combat genius" who still fails, then Aiden will have to rely on something that defies the very laws of the world: Rune Magic. His plan is simple: Enroll in the Academy. Snatch every "Hidden Piece" and legendary item before the Hero can find them. Leave nothing for "salvation" if it doesn't serve his own survival. The Hero can have the glory; Aiden is taking the power. In a world destined for a Game Over, the only way to live is to rob the plot blind

"Aiden! ...Aiden!!! Wake upp!"

I was about to wake up, but a surging pain suddenly exploded in my stomach—as if a large brick had fallen from the ceiling.

"Kugh!"

My sister had delivered a flying elbow drop directly into my gut.

"Argh! ...Why did you do that!?"

"Well, it's only natural. You wouldn't wake up," she said, scoffing.

"I was just about to!"

She smirked, then looked me dead in the eye with terrifying seriousness. "Wake up now, or you're going to be dead in the next ten seconds."

My body moved on its own. I bolted upright and scrambled toward the door. As I fled, tears of frustration pricked my eyes.

'I will never get used to this shit'

I woke up as a game character.

As an extra character at that.

[Chronicles of the rising hero]

In true video game fashion, the entire world was constantly on the brink of total annihilation. But hey, no big deal, right?

Because the protagonist would solve it all. He can fix everything, right?... Well... that's what I thought.

Untill everything came to chaos, because the protagonist failed to defeat a certain god. "Amarut", the forsaken god.

This game is still ongoing and the last arch is still on the update. "The Demon invasion arch."

Well how do I know that. It's because I had played this game a lot.

As a previous player of [Chronicles of the

rising hero], I knew the game story by heart and had gotten all of the hidden pieces. I had also seen most of the various endings, and most likely how characters died.

In this game most people will die, and also import figures included. Many heroines will die due to their bad endings being slayed by the protagonist, because most of them are bosses.

The protagonist is blessed by the forgotten god, Ragnarok. He uses most of the forgotten god's power at will, and he can manipulate few of them. Due to those powers he's deemed as a "genius'.

Many figures in this game are geniuses, but the protagonist is different, he may be useless writing or other things, but he is a genius in combat.

But in this game, there's a certain magic that defies the laws.

"Rune magic"

With rune magic a person could do anything a mage cannot do. In this game rune magic rules all.

That's why I need to obtain it. I mean like the invasion will come soon, so I need to live for myself.

"Helping the protagonist, fuck that."

I don't wanna die too.

But first I have to become a student. I mean when your suddenly thrown inside a game you spent ten years on, wouldn't you want to at least try magic. I don't even know that I can learn magic. As you can see I'm an extra.

"Hmm~"

But, "kekeke," I'll at least take most of the things here and leave nothing for salvation.
