The drive took a little over twenty minutes, and soon, Lotus Hall rose ahead of him.
The gate came into view, and Lukas eased off the acceleration, expecting the same process as before.
Which was to stop, identify himself, and wait while someone checked a list and made a call.
But it didn't happen. What he didn't know was that both him and his vehicle, along with Akira and Melody, had been registered and authorized.
They didn't need to be stopped and were cleared to pass without question. But that didn't mean they weren't searched. The estate had hidden equipment for that.
Letting them pass without stopping was merely a courtesy, not a lapse in security.
The guards at the gatehouse looked up as the dark blue sedan approached, and one of them simply raised a hand in acknowledgment.
