Aria's POV
The Westfall compound had been abandoned for three years, a casualty of the post-Council chaos. What was left of it was mostly concrete and weeds, the main building still standing but barely, windows gone, the pack crest above the door faded to near-nothing.
Serena was waiting inside.
She looked like she hadn't slept. Her composure was intact but thinner than it had been at Bloodmoon, the edges of it showing.
She looked at me when we walked in and said, "I told him to come alone."
"And he told me he wasn't going anywhere without me," I said. "So here we are."
"Fair enough."
We sat on broken furniture in a room that smelled like dust and old pack life and Serena told us what she knew.
