Driving to work in his Rolls Royce La Rose Noire Droptail Lucian was seated at the back and his chauffeur was driving along with the assistant and assistant informed him
"Dazzle magazine book booked an appointment for an interview with you."
Without second thought
"cancel it"
" sir, I think this interview will be nice the magazine has a good reputation and it will introduce you to the society since you've been in America you've never done an interview for magazine and TV program"
Couldn't be bothered
"Tell them to send a questions over"
So they requested a physical interview they want to send someone from the magazine to come conduct it"
Luc deeply sighs
"Arrange it."
Later that day a confirmation e-mail was sent to dazzle magazine and the director calls Amara in.
"He's assistant sent a confirmation email on the interview with a time and date that Mr. D'Artois will be available"
Amara excited about it got to the office and shared it with her desk mate Smiths.
Office news spreads like wildfire and in a short time the whole office had heard about the news including Felicia
Amara interviewing "Lucian D'Artois" someone that has never been interviewed before.
Felicia was visibly angry, the appointment was scheduled two days from that day when the day came Amara went to the office and the secretary said "um that the CEO is not on seats''
Amara replied
"Appointment has been made today and this is the time that was given to me"
"Miss Banks, an emergency meeting is ongoing
I'm sorry Mr. D'Artois wouldn't be able to attend to you"
Amara quickly fastened her steps to match him
"Please I need this interview for a cover page and if I don't get this interview done, I wouldn't have the cover page of the magazine please I'm asking for 5 minutes with him"
"Miss Banks there isn't much I can do Mr. D'Artois schedule is fully booked today and remain fully booked until two weeks from now
I can slot you in there"
That wouldn't be possible amara said
"the magazine is being published on Monday, the feature that I'm to write on him is to be published on Monday
Help me out my career is riding on this."
"Miss Banks I truly cannot help you"
Amara left distraught, in her thoughts she suddenly remembered her friend works for a big time TV channel and has a lot of information concerning celebrities, billionaires, wealthy people in general their schedules so she calls her up
Ring…..Ring.....Ring
[Picks up]
"Hey babes
I'm in a sticky situation
do you perhaps know where Lucian D'Artois will be this evening any events, anything actually"
"Oh yes! there is like a tech seminar but it's invite only babes
I couldn't even get an invitation to the event it's a really closed event"
Amara sighs
"Ummmm I really need an interview with him
do you know where the event is taking place
I can't give up I have to try my best"
"I do know where it's taking place I can text you the location"
"oh thank you babes, thank you very much your life saver"
Amara said in excitement
She gets to the events and it is actually invite only ,she then tries to go undercover as a staff and she was still caught.
But I'm already give up she was hanging around the place an eye caught someone she knew, it was Lucian assistant she immediately calls out to him, he recognize her
"Ms. Banks what are you doing at this event
this is an invite only event"
Amara pleaded with the assistant
I…I'm…. just I'm just asking for his few minutes with him, few minutes with him
my career is riding on this feature
I've really exhausted all my options please just work with me"
"Ms. Banks I'll see what I can do
I'm not promising you anything"
Finally a glimpse of hope Amara whispered
At the seminar:
"Mr. D'Artois
the journalist from dazzle magazine she's here she wants to do interview with you"
Mr. D'Artios turns around to his assistant
"Get the car ready"
the event had just finished and there was a heavy downpour, the assistant brought Lucian car and he enters the car because of the heavy down pour and the event that just finished there was a bit of a hold up.
now from where they were, he sees someone's seated in a corner with rain flashing on her shoes she looks familiar he taught to himself suddenly recalls
That's the girl who bumped into me at the gala.
The assistant notice his gaze and said
"she's a journalist from dazzle magazine that's trying to get an interview with you"
He stares at her with a faint smirk
"Tell her to come for the interview by 10:00am tomorrow
just one hour one hour"
Soon after Amara received a text with date and time
She was overwhelmed, overjoyed, stimulated all in one, she couldn't sleep and couldn't wait to break the news at work.
The next day Amara got to the office looking sharp and chic with a positive attitude and happiness that radiating form afar, she got to office the normal time by 8:00 AM, already in office she began telling her friend her (desk mate) About what happened the day before.
when the time for her interview drew closer she began prepping going over questions, arranging her voice recorder and notepad inside her bag suddenly the director called her into her office and Amara went in to meet the director, her friend then took a coffee break.
Felicia having heard the good news of Amara was filled with nothing but jealousy and so much of it, she couldn't let Amara do this interview and said to herself
"why not show up earlier than her together
if I can get the interview before her
The name the cover page will be hers."
so Felicia went ahead to take amara's interview questions and left to D'Artois group headquarters before Amara came out of the director's office.
In the director's office
Amara walks in and shuts the door behind and Ms. Bill lowers her glasses and gaze at the same time.
"Amara have you gotten the scoop"
"Ms. Bill not yet, I do have an exclusive interview with him today at 10"
''Hmmmmm I want results
If you can't deliver by the end of the week, the cover page belongs to Felicia
Her piece is wonderful"
Yes Ma" Amara responded with a dent in her self esteem
Amara walked out of our office when she to her desk grab her bag and left for her interview
Amara decides to say word of affirmation to boost her confidence because at this point she was feeling a bit in nervous.
she got to the D'Artois Group headquarters she went to the receptions and mentions that she has an interview with the CEO
"oh.. hi
My name is Amara Banks,
I have an appointment with Mr. Lucian scheduled for 10:00 am"
"I'm coming Ms. Banks
[Checks In with the schedule the assistant handed in today]
Ms. Banks
Your appointment has been confirmed
floor 32"
Thank you" Amara replies
Amara walks towards the elevator with her hills leaving a clicking sound
[Presses the elevator and goes straight to floor 32]

Amara walks out and heads for the assistant desk
"Morning, I'm here for my interview"
"Ms. Banks the interview's done
Your company said you were not going to available so they sent a representative"
[Amara heartbeat quickened]
"I'm sorry, there's seems to be some kind of misunderstanding"
"I'm not aware of such arrangements"
"Ms. Banks around 9
Dazzle sent another person to conduct the interview in your place"
"I'm not aware of such arrangements
There's was no change of journalist
The interview was scheduled by 10:00 why suddenly was it conducted at 9:00"
"Ms. Banks
The lady that came, said you were not available
So she would have do both her workload and yours hence the time change"
[Amara knew this was clearly sabotage]
"Would I be able to still conduct my interview
I'm sorry Ms. Banks
Mr. D'Artois is a very busy man
His schedule has been moved up and I can't do anything "
"Can you please tell the lady who came here"
"Ms. Banks
I don't know her name
She was wearing the company tag
But you can ask the reception because of log entry"
"Give me a minute"
Amara hurried downstairs, went straight to the reception and ask for their long entry the reception is given our location and then she saw the name Felicia nellywood from dazzle magazine
Amara felt rage engulfing her
Amara rushes back to floor 32 only to meet Mr. Lucian and his assistant on their way out
"Mr. D'Artois I want to talk to you about the interview"
Amara says why she's rushing to catch up with them
"Ms. Banks, Mr. D'Artois is very busy and you are" interrupting his schedule
Mr. Lucian suddenly says
"Tag along"
With a small smirk
Amara was excited but nervous at the same time because she had no idea where they were going or anything but she irrationally complied because of the interview
They get into Mr. Lucian Rolls Royce, Amara was stunned about how it could be elegant the chic at the same time on the inside but she didn't show any facial expression.
"You can conduct the interview on the way to my next appointment" Mr. Lucian says
Amara still nervous, feels an awkward tension and decides to break the ice with basic questions as to ease the tension.
Getting her notepad out of her bag and I recorder she turns it on and turns to Mr. D'Artois while the car is on the road.

Tell me about your childhood
His expression changed from a resting bi***h face into an annoyed one
Amara quickly noticed
"I was orphaned young adopted by a Russian couple, they changed my life

That's all there is to know about my childhood there is nothing interesting to know or write about."
Amara didn't want to pry further but intrigued
"You speak Russian"
"Fluently" he replied with a cold voice
He was guarded, Amara straight to the point
Asking about he's business, his company success, vision and future
In every answer Amara felt it was script written so rehearsed, careful
He noticed her body language
"Those where the same questions your representative read to me"
Amara was dumfounded again by Felicia behavior
Lucian then went further to say
"I didn't hold interview with her but you are new substantial information she could write a piece with"
Amara eased up a little bit
After t interview they kept up with casual conversation but none leading to comedic relief
After a while of passing empty roads they came to what seem like a gated community was a private Polo club that was at the outskirts of the city.
They got down from the car and suddenly she heard a voice call out to Lucian
"Hey! Lucy….Lucy
it was a dude in a white polo shirt and trouser, tall around 186 cm and soon after some men around the same height approached
Turns out they were Lucian's friends strikingly handsome men, powerful too and a greeted him with so much confidence but there was a darkness in the art that made Amara's stomach churn.
Lucian noticed Amara's hesitation
" They're businessman like me"
At that point Amara noticed that from where she was couldn't get transport into town and she didn't know the road so it will be hard for her to walk down to town so she decide to suck it all up and put a smile on her face as they drew closer.
They got you where they were greetings were exchanged between Lucian and his friends, one of them stretched his hand out to greet Amara and with the biggest smile she could think of, she gave it
"Who's the lady"
One of them asked
"A journalist" Lucian replies flatly
"Oh wow"
Another said
"She interviewed me for the cover page of dazzle magazine and she'll be going home now."
" O oh Lucy
let her stay
let her join us"
before he could reply Amara said she would love to join them because she had no means of going back home.
" I would love to join you all to play but I don't know how to play"
"Don't worry Lucy will teach you he's really good"
With a very dark side stare lucaian signaled her to follow him as he walked towards the stable to get his horse
After getting his horse and sitting on it, he stretches his hand, she was quite hesitant at first but she gave in and joined him on the horse an in the matter of seconds horse was underneath since speed running down the fields like tomorrow would never come am I was scared for her life closing her eyes then she heard Lucian chuckle.
Soon the ride came to a stop
Amara noticed the day had gone just by the atmosphere change
Lucian was going back to the city Amara hitched a ride with him and he dropped her off at a bus stop where she could see transportation to her house
