Chapter 4 - "Chapter 4: The Death of Innocence"

Yuvraj was so badly injured that blood was flowing from most parts of his body.

With broken breaths, he muttered— "This world… has become a hell…" "And now… only the powerful can survive here…"

His voice trembled—

"People like me… exist only to be used in this world…" "We can't even dream… let alone fulfill those dreams…" "We… live only to complete the dreams of others…"

At that moment, he thought of his sister.

His heart grew heavy… and tears flowed from his eyes like water.

Now, he couldn't even feel his own pain anymore.

"After I die…" "I don't know what this world will do to my sister…" "Will she even be able to survive in this cruel world…?"

His breathing grew heavier—

"This world… will devour her too…"

"Ever since mother went into a coma…" "I'm the only one she has in this entire world…" "How… will she face this merciless world…?"

Then—

A buried memory suddenly resurfaced in his heart.

The atmosphere inside the ICU was heavy.

The light in his mother's eyes was slowly fading.

Doctors were checking the machines… but her entire focus was only on Yuvraj.

She had realized— that her body was no longer supporting her…

And that she was about to fall into a sleep— from which there might be no return.

She tightly held Yuvraj's hand with all her remaining strength— as if she refused to leave him alone in this cruel world.

Her voice was weak… broken—

"Yuvraj… look at me…" "My eyes are closing, son…" "And I'm scared…"

"Not of death…" "But of the thought…" "that after I'm gone…" "how will you face this merciless world…?"

With trembling hands, Yuvraj held her face—

"Mom… you're just sleeping… you'll be fine…"

A tear slipped from her eyes.

She took a long breath—

"This world is no longer meant for the innocent…" "Only the strong survive here…"

"And you…" "You still can't even fix your bicycle chain…"

"When the harsh winds of this world burn your face…" "When people humiliate you…"

"Then… I won't be there to protect you…"

The machine's beeping grew faster.

The nurse signaled Yuvraj to step back—

But his mother didn't let go of his hand.

With her final strength, she said—

"How will you fight these human monsters…?" "How will you protect your sister…?"

"If you want to live…" "Then you… must change yourself…"

Her grip loosened.

Her eyes remained half-open— but there was no life left in them.

The heartbeat monitor turned into a straight line—

"BEEEEEEEE—"

Silence filled the room.

The doctor shouted— "Quick! Put her on the ventilator! Brain response is shutting down—she's going into a coma!"

Yuvraj stood there, frozen.

His mother was alive…

But now, just a body.

Her last words echoed in his mind—

"How will you face it…?"

Back to the present—

Suddenly, the veins on Yuvraj's forehead bulged.

His eyes turned red.

Gritting his teeth, he spoke—

On the main road of Agra…

Amid dust and smoke— Yuvraj lay there, drenched in blood.

The sun had already set— but the road was still burning hot like a pan…

scorching his wounds.

His ribs were clearly visible beneath his torn clothes.

Vehicles passed by him—

Their horns pierced his ears.

Some people stopped—

Looked at him—

And said with disgust—

"Probably a drug addict…" "Looks crazy…"

Then walked away.

Yuvraj clenched the dust of the road in his trembling fist.

Near him lay his mother's empty prescription— which the wind was trying to blow away.

With blurred vision, he looked up at the sky—

"Everyone is watching…" "But I don't see a single human…"

His mother's words pierced his chest—

"How will you face it…?"

Yuvraj spat blood—

And slammed his head against the road—

"Like this…" "This is how I'll face it!"

He let out the final cry of his soul—

He wasn't calling for an angel…

But for the darkness itself.

Suddenly—

Silence fell upon the road.

The moving vehicles seemed to freeze…

The air became still.

Time… stopped.

Yuvraj whispered—

"O God… I worshipped you all my life…" "But you only watched like a spectator…"

"If to destroy this rotten system…" "Not an angel…" "But a demon is needed…"

A tear of blood fell from his eye—

And the moment it touched the ground—

A violent wind began to blow across Agra.

Within moments— heavy rain started pouring.

Lightning flashed across the sky—

People panicked and shouted—

"Where did this storm suddenly come from?!" "Why is this lightning so terrifying?!"

"It feels like…" "Something even more dangerous than monsters…" "is about to descend upon this world…"

A man said—

"Why is God angry with us…?" "Weren't the monsters already enough…?"

At the same time—

Inside a temple—

A priest was performing a ritual.

He held a prayer plate in his hands.

Suddenly—

A powerful gust of wind blew—

And the lamps in the plate were extinguished.

A tree beside the temple—

Was uprooted by the storm—

And crashed onto the temple roof—

Breaking through it—

And falling directly onto the idol of God.

The idol shattered into pieces on the ground.

The priest's eyes widened.

His face turned pale.

Fear stole his voice.

Trembling, he said—

"O God… what does this mean…?"

"This has happened before…" "When portals opened in this world…" "And monsters arrived…"

"Is it happening again…?" "This time… something even more terrifying…?"

His voice shook—

"They already destroyed our world…" "And now… something even stronger is coming…"

The priest fell to his knees, crying as he prayed—

"O God… have mercy on your children…" "Humanity is already on the verge of extinction…"

"Now this coming disaster…" "Will it save this world…" "Or destroy it completely…?"
