Chapter 3 - Mr. Angel!

The silver haired man calmly walked back to the raised platform where his massive throne awaited him.

The sword in his hand slipped from his fingers and fell onto the tiled floor.

CLANG.

The sound of metal striking marble echoed through the hall. When he reached the throne, he sat down slowly, resting his elbow against the armrest.

"Seraphina will retain her position as a lower consort," he announced coolly, his voice booming across the hall.

Murmurs and whispers filled the room as a few people glanced at su-ah with nothing but irritation and anger, while a few others were... curious.

"Until it is determined whether she truly had a hand in Prince Alan's death."

The word's made su-ah freeze.

'Did they just say death? But he just called me Seraphina, did I kill someone?!' She asked herself.

His gaze moved towards the guards that stood in a corner of the room.

"Until then," he finished lazily, "remove her from my sight."

Two armored guards stepped forward from that particular corner. Their footsteps echoing as they approached su-ah.

When one reached out to grab her arm, she took a step away from the guard before glaring at him. Then she turned towards the man seated on the throne.

"Mr. Angel!" She called out.

"Did she just call him an Angel?" One of the women standing at the foot of the platform where the throne was placed asked.

"Pay your respect to the dragon king!" One of the armoured guards behind her, half yelled and the intensity in his voice had su-ah flinching.

"Mr. Dragon King?" She said this time and the silver haired man just smiled at her.

He had his jaw placed on his palm, watching her with a gaze that made su-ah feel irritated.

"Don't test my patience." He said coldly.

Su-ah could swear as he spoke, his silver eyes flickered to a dark shade of red but when she blinked, they had gone back to normal.

"Remain invisible, Seraphina and pray you never cross my path." The temperature in the hall seemed to drop at his words.

The silver haired man pushed himself off his throne before saying, "The next time you stand before me, either unintentionally or intentionally, I won't bother using chains."

The entire hall seemed to go silent after the silver haired man finished speaking. His words made goosebumps form on su-ah's skin, but there was nothing she could do about it...yet.

After a long moment of silence, he pushed himself off the throne. The long black robe he had on shifted slightly and without sparing su-ah another glance, he slowly stepped down from the platform.

The soft padding of his boots against the polished tiles seemed to echo louder now that the room had gone silent.

Behind him, a woman dressed in several layers of silk robes stepped forward and placed herself beside him. The robes she had on seemed heavier than the last, her black hair pulled into a sleek bun and held in place by rose like hair pins sticking out of her head.

Although she was walking beside him, her gaze remained lowered in nothing but respect. When she stepped beside him, the silver haired man merely glanced at her before pulling his gaze away.

The moment he began crossing the hall, to head towards the exit, everyone moved at that point.

The men in long ceremonial robes lowered their heads. The noblewomen gathered at the foot of the platform where the throne was placed bowed gracefully, with their hands clasped in front of their bodies.

Even the armored guards standing along the corner of the hall dropped to one knee.

"All hail the dragon king!" They said in unison, their voices rising together and echoing through the large hall.

'All this extravagance for one king?' Su-ah couldn't help but shake her head in disappointment.

She didn't bow when he walked past her, talk less of her dropping to her knees.

She simply stood there, her wrist aching slightly from the chains wrapped around them and her gaze fixed solely on the man's back as he walked away.

Wait. Pause. Didn't they just call him the dragon king? He was the one she was supposed to make feel pity for her?

Didn't she do the exact opposite of that?

Su-ah had no one to answer her questions, she was snapped out of her thoughts by the loud creaking sound that came when the massive doors at the far end of the hall had been pulled open.

The silver haired king stepped out first, his dark robe sweeping the floor behind him. The layered robed woman followed after, trying to keep up with the king.

The moment he was gone, the tension in the air seemed to reduce slightly. One by one, the people in the hall began straightening their posture.

The men in large robes glanced at su-ah with wary expressions, their eyes dropping to the chains she had on before they looked away quickly.

The small group of women in the room had their gazes fixed on her as they whispered softly behind their lace fans. None of them approached them, they didn't seem to have the guts to.

Instead, they began moving out of the hall a few seconds after the King, their footsteps barely making sounds as they slipped out through the massive doors.

But not all of them stepped out of the hall. A woman dressed in green, her clothes seemed to be a bit lighter than the other women su-ah had seen earlier.

"Lady Mineah, is something the problem?" One of the armoured guards standing behind su-ah asked but the woman dressed in green didn't respond.

She stepped closer to su-ah, lifting her right hand and before su-ah could even realize what was going on...

TWACK!

The sound of skin meeting skin echoed through the now empty hall. Su-ah's head snapped to the side, tears welling up in her eyes due to the force of the slap.

"Oi...get me out of these god-damned chains!"
