Chapter 15 - The Emperor's Grudge

The ship hung in the sky like a second moon. Its presence alone caused the ocean to churn, the atmosphere to grow heavy. This was no ordinary vessel—this was the flagship of a universal conqueror.

From the ship, a figure descended. Small, childlike, with a purple and white color scheme, a curved horned helmet, and a tail wrapped around his waist. He floated on a golden throne, his expression one of mild annoyance.

"So," Frieza said, his voice silky and dangerous, "my Ginyu Force has been defeated. By a rubber boy and his pets. How... disappointing."

Luffy looked up at the figure. "Whoa! You're tiny! And your head is all bumpy!"

Nami grabbed Luffy's shoulder, hissing. "That's the emperor, you idiot! Show some respect!"

Frieza's eye twitched. "Respect? From a creature who doesn't even register on my scouter? How amusing." He floated closer, his gaze fixed on Luffy. "The Void Eater promised me that consuming you would grant immortality. I've sought eternal life for decades. And now, the key to my greatest desire stands before me, defended by a cook, a swordsman, and a fish."

Sanji stepped forward, his leg already glowing. "Watch your mouth, you oversized grape."

Frieza's eyes narrowed. "How dare you—"

Before he could finish, Luffy interrupted. "Hey, bumpy-head! You said you want to eat me? That's rude! I already told the frog-guy, I'm the one who does the eating!" He patted the frog in his pocket. "Froguy agrees!"

The frog croaked.

Frieza stared. Then, unexpectedly, he laughed. It was a cold, cruel sound. "You're either the bravest fool I've ever encountered or the stupidest. Either way, your energy will be mine."

He raised a single finger. A tiny ball of purple energy formed at the tip. "Let me demonstrate the difference in our power. This planet you're standing on? I can destroy it with this finger. Your friends? I can erase them with a thought. And you?" He smiled. "You'll watch, helpless, as everything you love turns to ash."

He fired the beam. Not at the crew, but at a nearby island. The tiny ball of energy struck the island, and in an instant, it was gone. Not destroyed—erased. As if it had never existed.

The crew stared in horror. That island had been miles away. If that beam had hit them...

Luffy's expression shifted. The grin faded. His eyes went dark. "You... you destroyed that island."

"Yes. Consider it a demonstration. Now, will you come quietly, or must I destroy another? Perhaps that ship of yours?"

The Thousand Sunny. Frieza's finger pointed at their home.

Luffy's Conqueror's Haki erupted. The red energy exploded from his body, washing over Frieza. The emperor's eyes went wide for just a moment—a flicker of surprise—before his expression returned to calm amusement.

"Impressive. A will to rival the gods. But will alone cannot defeat me."

Luffy shot forward, his fastest Gear Second enhanced by Ki. He appeared before Frieza, fist extended. "DAWN STAR: KING PUNCH!"

The punch connected with Frieza's face. For a moment, shock crossed the emperor's features. Then he grabbed Luffy's fist and squeezed.

Luffy screamed. His rubber hand, normally immune to crushing, was being compressed by impossible force. Frieza's grip was destroying the very structure of his cells.

"Did you think," Frieza said calmly, "that a child's punch could harm me? I have destroyed planets with a sneeze. I have crushed armies with a thought. You are nothing."

He threw Luffy into the ocean. The impact created a crater that took minutes to refill.

Zoro moved. Enma flashed. The blade, capable of cutting even Kaido, sliced toward Frieza's neck. Frieza caught it between two fingers.

"A sword? How quaint." He flicked, and Zoro flew backward, his arms numb from the vibration.

Sanji's kick met the same fate—caught and thrown aside. Jinbe's Fish-Man Karate, powerful enough to part the sea, did nothing against Frieza's energy shield. Piccolo's most powerful beam attack was absorbed with a yawn.

One by one, the crew fell. Not killed—Frieza was saving them for later torment—but incapacitated. Broken.

Luffy emerged from the ocean, his body bruised, his spirit unbroken. He saw his crew floating on the surface, unconscious. He saw Frieza hovering above them, a smug smile on his face.

"You see, boy? This is the price of defiance. Everyone you love, suffering because of you."

Luffy's hands balled into fists. The red energy around him grew brighter, hotter. Something was happening. Something deep within him, something that even he didn't understand.

His heart beat. Once. Twice. A rhythm unlike any other. The drums of liberation.

"Gear... Fifth."

His body shifted. Not into a giant, not into a faster form. It shifted into something else entirely. His skin turned white. His hair turned white. His clothes dissolved into swirling patterns of cloud-like energy. His grin returned, but it was different now—wider, freer, the grin of a god.

Frieza's composure cracked. "What... what is this? Your energy—it's not Ki, not that red will—it's something else entirely!"

Luffy laughed. It was a carefree, joyful sound that echoed across dimensions. "Shishishi! This is my heartbeat! This is freedom! This is... JOY BOY!"

He raised a hand, and the ocean rose with it, forming a massive fist of water. He swung, and the water fist slammed into Frieza, driving him into the seafloor.

Frieza erupted from the water, furious. "YOU DARE!"

He launched a barrage of death beams, hundreds of them, each capable of destroying a planet. Luffy danced through them, his rubber body bending in impossible ways, his new form making reality itself bend to his whims.

He grabbed a beam and threw it back. He turned another into a butterfly that landed on Frieza's nose. He stretched the space between them so that Frieza's attacks couldn't reach him.

"What is this?! What are you?!" Frieza screamed.

Luffy appeared directly in front of him, his face inches away. "I'm Monkey D. Luffy. And I'm going to be the King of the Pirates."

He grabbed Frieza's face and squeezed. The emperor's skull creaked under the pressure. For the first time in his life, Frieza felt true fear.

But before Luffy could finish it, a voice echoed across the battlefield. Ancient. Cold. Familiar.

"ENOUGH."

The Void Eater materialized behind Frieza, its shadowy form wrapping around the emperor like a cloak. "This child's power grows too quickly. He must be removed from existence entirely."

Luffy's eyes widened. "You! The shadow thing! I thought I beat you!"

"You dispersed my physical form. You cannot destroy me. I am the void between worlds. I am eternal." The creature's eyes fixed on Luffy. "And you, anomaly, are a threat to the cosmic balance. You must be erased."

A beam of pure darkness shot from the Void Eater, aimed not at Luffy, but at the dimensional tear above. The tear began to pulse, to grow, to pull.

"What are you doing?!" Frieza demanded.

"Creating a prison. A dimension of nothing, where even your power, boy, cannot exist. I will trap you there, and your friends, and this entire world, and let you all fade into oblivion."

The pull intensified. The Sunny began to lift off the water. The unconscious crew began to float toward the tear. Luffy grabbed them, trying to hold them down, but the force was too strong.

"NO! I WON'T LET YOU!"

His Gear Fifth form flickered. The strain of protecting his crew while fighting the pull was too much. He was being torn apart.

And then, a voice. Gruff. Arrogant. Familiar.

"KAKAROT! DO IT NOW!"

A golden light erupted from the dimensional tear. A figure shot through—hair gold, eyes green, body wreathed in flame. A Super Saiyan.

Vegeta had returned.
