Chapter 14 - The Captain's Stand

Ginyu watched in disbelief as his entire force fell. Recoome, Jeice, Guldo, Burter—all defeated by the freak's crew. His eye twitched with rage.

"YOU! You'll pay for this!"

Luffy, still panting from their clash, grinned. "Your friends are strong! But my friends are stronger! Shishishi!"

Ginyu's rage cooled. He looked at the rubber boy, at the crew gathering behind him, at the unconscious bodies of his warriors floating on the water. He had one option left.

"Very well. If I cannot defeat you in combat, I will take your body by force." He focused, gathering his energy for one final Body Change.

Luffy saw it coming. This time, he didn't dodge. He stood there, arms open, as the purple aura shot toward him.

But just before it hit, something unexpected happened. The red energy—his Conqueror's Haki—erupted from his body. It wasn't a conscious choice. It was instinct. The will of a future king rejecting an invader.

The purple aura struck the red barrier and shattered. Ginyu screamed as his own technique rebounded on him. The energy enveloped him, and when it faded, he was no longer in his body.

He was in the body of a frog. A small, green, very confused frog floating on the ocean surface.

Luffy stared. "Whoa! You turned into a frog!"

Ginyu tried to speak, but only croaked. He tried to fly, but his frog legs just kicked uselessly. He tried to attack, but he had no energy to spare.

"Shishishi! You look great as a frog! Much better than before!"

The crew gathered around, staring at the frog that was once a feared intergalactic warrior.

Zoro sheathed his swords. "That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen."

Sanji nodded. "Agreed. But fitting."

Piccolo picked up the frog, examining it. "His body-switching technique backfired. He's trapped now. Without someone to switch with, he'll remain a frog indefinitely."

Ginyu croaked angrily.

Luffy patted the frog on the head. "Don't worry, frog-guy! You can be our pet! We'll name him... Froguy!"

The crew groaned.

"That's terrible," Nami said.

"It's perfect!" Luffy declared. "Welcome to the crew, Froguy!"

Ginyu croaked in despair.

As the crew celebrated their victory, Piccolo's expression grew serious. He looked at the dimensional tear, still hanging in the sky.

"This was only the beginning. Frieza will not forgive this humiliation. He'll come himself now. And when he does..." He looked at Luffy, who was happily playing with his new frog pet. "I hope you're ready."

Luffy looked up, his grin never wavering. "I'm always ready, green guy. Let him come. We'll throw him a party too!"

But even as he spoke, a shadow fell over the ocean. Not from clouds, but from something massive descending through the dimensional tear. A ship. A planet-sized ship, covered in weapons and bristling with energy.

Frieza had arrived.
