Kakashi stared at him in complete silence.
Behind Naruto, Sasuke Uchiha slowly turned his head.
Sakura Haruno covered her face with both hands.

Sakura groaned.
"Why do I feel embarrassed for him…"
Sasuke muttered quietly.
"This idiot…"
Meanwhile, Naruto had already crouched into a fighting stance.
Kakashi tilted his head slightly.
"…Are you done?"
Naruto formed a trademark cross handsign. A dozen clones spawned into existence while the original pointed dramatically.
"ATTACK!"
Naruto and co. rushed Kakashi head-on.
Which, strategically speaking, was a terrible idea.
Kakashi didn't move.
Naruto threw a punch.
Kakashi casually leaned sideways.
The punch whiffed.
Naruto swung again.
Kakashi stepped back lazily.
Another miss.
The gang of blondes growled.
"Stand still!"
Kakashi raised an eyebrow.
"That's not how fights work."
One Naruto suddenly jumped back throwing a kunai at the ground to Kakashi's side.
Kakashi blinked.
The ground beneath him clicked.
A tripwire snapped.
From the nearby tree—
A heavy log swung downward.
Kakashi casually pulled a Naruto clone in front of the log.
The log smashed into the clone with a POOF.
Naruto grit his teeth.
"Damn!"
Kakashi looked mildly amused.
"You set that up yesterday?"
Naruto puffed up proudly.
"Yep!"
Kakashi scratched his chin.
"Interesting."
Meanwhile, in the treeline—
Sasuke crouched behind a bush.
Sakura knelt beside him.
Sakura whispered.
"Should we help?"
Sasuke kept his eyes on the fight.
"Let the idiot distract him."
Sakura nodded slowly.
"...Fair."
Sasuke shifted his foot slightly.
CLICK
Both genin froze.
Sakura looked down.
There was a wire around Sasuke's ankle.
Sakura whispered.
"...Sasuke."
He whispered back.
"...I know."
Sakura pointed upward.
Sasuke slowly looked up.
A net trap dropped from the trees.
Sasuke's eyes widened.
He leapt backward just in time.
The net slammed into the ground where he had been.
Leaves exploded everywhere.
Sakura blinked.
Sasuke dusted off his shoulder.
"...That idiot."
Sakura muttered.
"Why did he trap the entire battlefield?!"
From the clearing, Naruto yelled proudly.
"AREA DENIAL!"
Kakashi sighed.
Back to Naruto
Narutos charged again. This time opting for a dog pile on top of his teacher
Lost in the Scuffle Kakashi's silhouette disappeared to all the onlookers, and clones in the attack
Naruto's voice echoed dramatically.
"NOW!"
Nothing happened.
Sakura whispered from the trees.
"Was that for us?"
Sasuke shrugged.
"No idea."
Suddenly all the clones were thrown back sans 1. As a kick to Kakashi's back was about to land he suddenly poofed out of existence.
Naruto stood there panicked, scanning everywhere in front of him for his teacher.
Kakashi crouched directly behind him.
"You should work on situational awareness."
Naruto's danger sense screamed.
Too late.
Two fingers extended.
Naruto blinked.
Then—
THRUST
1000 Years of Death
Naruto launched into the air like a rocket.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAA—!"
He crashed into a small pond several meters away.
The Shinobi Codex flashed.

Nearby observers' respect has decreased.
In the trees—
Sakura stared.
Sasuke stared.
Sakura whispered.
"...Did he just—"
Sasuke nodded slowly.
"Yes."
Naruto swam out of the pond, spitting water in a spout, groaning.
Kakashi casually reopened his book. Turning to where Sasuke and Sakura were hiding he proclaimed:
"Next?"
Sasuke sighed.
"I guess it's my turn."
He stepped out of the treeline.
Kakashi looked up lazily.
"Oh good, maybe you'll do better than fishcake"
He gestured toward Naruto still recovering.
Sasuke vanished forward in a blur.
Kakashi blocked the strike effortlessly. A chain of combos continued to pester his defenses. "Not bad Sasuke, not great, but not bad."
The frontal assault ended with Sasuke backflipping past one of Kakashi's counters. Lightning fast handsigns commenced, the result being a car sized stream of fire flying towards Kakashi's position.
A familiar POOF sounded off once the fire hit Kakashi. Sasuke tensed his body expecting a counter attack
"I might have to ask Naruto about that technique later"
Naruto staggered to his feet. "Eat my soaked shorts Sasuke, get your own techniques!" As more bickering spilled out, Sakura could only watch and wonder why this test was going so poorly.
The two reincarnted Demi-gods continued arguing as the Shinobi Codex pulsed quietly.
