Chapter 45 - Chapter 47 The Confession

The farmhouse was silent except for the faint rustle of leaves outside. Kenty sat on the wooden floor, her head resting in her hands. Every moment of her betrayal, the wedding disruptions, the subtle manipulations—flooded her mind like a storm.

Her eyes filled with tears. She had almost destroyed the bond with the only family who had loved her unconditionally. And now, cut off from them, she understood the true cost of ambition.

David's father and a few trusted aides arrived quietly, surrounding the farmhouse. They spoke carefully, knowing that confrontation required patience. "Kenty," her father called softly, "we are here. We will bring you home safely. No harm will come to you if you trust us."

Kenty's eyes met their gaze, filled with regret. "Father… Mother… I—I did everything wrong," she whispered, her voice trembling. "The wedding… I almost ruined it. I followed Sonko's plans to create chaos. I… I betrayed you, I betrayed Precious. And now… I see the truth."

Her confession poured out, unbroken, raw, and heartfelt. She explained the subtle disruptions, the way she had worked with Sonko, and how his manipulation had grown beyond her control. She admitted the fear she had felt when she realized she had been trapped by her own ambition.

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she pleaded, "Please… forgive me. I can't bear what I almost did. I want to come back, to make it right, to be part of this family again."

Her parents held back emotion, fighting between anger and relief. David and Precious arrived moments later, witnessing the scene. Precious stepped forward, her hands trembling as she reached for Kenty. "Sister," she whispered, "I… I forgive you. You are still my sister. We will get through this—together."

Kenty clung to Precious, the weight of guilt and fear lifting slightly in the embrace of the family she had almost lost.
