When Reon saw the message that the Dungeon would be revealed to the world in an hour, coupled with his failure to make monsters, he decided to create a maze to keep himself safe. Without any monsters to save him, he could only rely on the environment to survive.
He didn't need much, just ten days to gather Anima to create a new floor.
And what better way than creating a maze?
But that wasn't the only thing he did; he even added a bunch of traps to make things difficult for the intruders.
With his absolute control over the dungeon, it was child's play.
His initial goal was to raise the ground and fill the room completely. This way, any intruder has to dig their way in. But when he did it, a long path appeared out of nowhere, leading from the entrance directly to the core.
This frightened him so much that he immediately dropped the idea.
He even thought about turning the entire ground into spikes, but when he did that, another wide path appeared out of nowhere.
Helplessly, he could only design the floor honestly. It seems like he was bound by a certain set of rules. As to what they were, he would have to figure it out himself.
In the end, he managed to design an extremely complicated maze filled with numerous traps, just waiting for the first unlucky soul.
One hour passed in the blink of an eye.
[The Dungeon Will Now Open To The World Outside.]
Looking at the message, Reon was ready to welcome his first guest, but just then another message popped up in front of him.
[Detecting that no treasure has been assigned.]
[Assigning treasure automatically.]
[1 Anima has been successfully deducted.]
Reon was stunned by the sudden barrage of messages. And when he came back to his senses, he saw that at the very front of the floor, just a few turns away from the entrance, a small plant appeared out of thin air.
The plan was roughly palm-sized with a single blue flower on top of it that was giving off a hazy glow, gently illuminating the surroundings.
"What the hell!?" Reon almost cursed out loud. He was hoping to save Anima to add another floor as soon as possible, but who would have thought that his Anima would be automatically deducted and turn into a plant?
He wanted to move the plant near his 'body', at the very end of the dungeon, but before he could even act, the entrance to the floor lit up and the next instant, a middle-aged man with thick brows, curly black hair, wearing a set of grey clothes that was stained with some mud appeared there.
"....." Looking at the first guest that appeared so soon, Reon was taken aback for a moment before he burst out in ecstasy. He wasn't expecting someone to arrive so soon.
He immediately wanted to turn the ground beneath the unlucky fellow into spikes, ending him instantly.
He didn't think about showing mercy to him.
What a joke…
From the moment he became a dungeon, the entire world was his enemy. It was a fight for survival. They will keep on trying to conquer him, and the only choice he will have is to either fight back or die.
There was no room for morality… There was no room for mercy…
Without wasting another moment, he immediately tried to turn the ground beneath him into spikes, but the moment he tried, another message popped up in front of him.
[A floor can not be modified with external beings in it.]
And with that message, Reon's control over the dungeon disappeared.
"Oh, you have got to be kidding me." Reon almost fainted in anger. He tried once again, hoping to make just some minute changes, but to no avail.
In the end, he could only watch helplessly and pray in his mind as the man took out a small paper, tore it apart and then his entire body illuminated the surroundings.
Reon merely hummed in response after witnessing such a magical scene and focused on the man's next course of action.

"What a shitty luck." On the other hand, Davan took a good look at his surroundings and cursed in a low voice.
Before stepping through the entrance, he had imagined a lot of scenarios, from sudden enemy attacks to finding himself in a different environment to directly landing on treasures. He had even readied himself for death, but who would have thought that all his worries and expectations would go down the drain.
He didn't know how long and complicated the maze was, or if it contained any danger or not. He didn't want to rush blindly, lose his way and die due to hunger and thirst.
In the end, he clenched his fists in frustration, turned around and walked out of the entrance.
"Eh!?" Reon, who was still worried about how long it was going to take that man to explore the entire floor, was startled by this sudden turn of events.
When he saw the magical scene of him tearing up a piece of paper to light the surroundings, he had already seen his doom. But who would have thought that the man would exit the dungeon so suddenly?
"Good for me."
Even though he didn't know why, for him, it was the best possible outcome.
With the man gone, he could once again control the floor. Without wasting another moment, Reon began to make other changes.

On the other hand, Davan, after exiting the dungeon, directly rushed towards the market at the fastest speed possible. Now that he understood that it was a maze, he was going to buy the suitable supplies that he might need.
Of course, what he didn't notice was that the moment he rushed out of the dungeon, a figure that was hidden behind the bush was quietly watching his every move.
Once he rushed to the market, the figure glanced at Davan's empty hands, and then, without any hesitation, rushed directly into the entrance.
