Chapter Two: world
Another World: Ahns
At the very same moment,
in another world—
where the sky bore unfamiliar colors
and history was written in blood—
inside the royal palace of Ahns,
a man rose from his throne.
A sword rested firmly in his hand,
its steel heavy with memory.
Long hair covered his face,
as if he were hiding from the world—and from himself.
He walked slowly into an adjoining chamber.
On the wall hung a portrait of a woman.
He stopped.
For a long moment, he simply stared at it—
no movement,
no breath.
Then he turned toward the window.
Outside, his army stood in perfect formation—
silent, unmoving, like statues carved from stone.
His voice rang out across the courtyard:
"The time has come."
A single thunderous reply followed:
"Yes, sir!"
The soldiers saluted as one.
The ground trembled beneath their feet.
The wind surged forward, lifting his hair away from his face.
And for the first time,
his face was revealed.
It was strikingly beautiful—
a faint smile upon his lips,
and in his eyes…
tears.
