Chapter 4:Mysteries

Wang stormed out of the house, his father's harsh words still ringing in his ears. Anger burned in his chest. The house, built on three marlas of land and surprisingly spacious inside, suddenly felt suffocating to him.

Without looking back, Wang headed straight to his friend Zain's place next door. He knocked on the door. Zain's mother opened it.

"Assalamu Alaikum, Auntie," Wang greeted politely. "Is Zain home?"

"Wa Alaikum Assalam, dear. Yes, he's in his room. You can go in," she replied warmly.

Wang walked down the hallway and opened the door to Zain's room. Zain was sitting on his bed, reading quietly. When the door opened suddenly, he flinched and quickly closed what he was reading.

"What happened?" Zain asked, slightly annoyed. "Why are you here like this? Is there a problem?"

Wang exhaled deeply. "Yeah. Things blew up at home. My head's a mess. Let's go out—maybe to a club."

Zain thought for a moment, then nodded. "Alright. Let's go."

After changing his clothes, Zain joined Wang, and the two left together. At 8:12 p.m., they arrived outside a nightclub glowing with bright lights and loud music spilling into the street.

As they stepped toward the entrance, a guide standing at the door raised his hand and stopped them. Wang and Zain exchanged a look.

The night had only just begun—and neither of them knew what awaited them inside.

The guide at the entrance paused, his gaze moving from Zain to Wang.

"Age?" he asked flatly.

"Eighteen," Zain replied without hesitation.

The guide turned to Wang.

"And you?"

Wang's heartbeat spiked, but he forced his voice to stay steady.

"Eighteen."

The guide extended his hand.

"ID."

Wang's palms went cold. Sweat gathered at his fingertips.

I'm seventeen, his mind screamed. If he checks—

Before Wang could react, the low growl of engines rolled in from behind them. One by one, sleek black cars pulled up in front of the club.

The guide straightened instantly.

The atmosphere shifted.

More guides hurried forward. One of them opened a car door.

A young woman stepped out first—confident, striking, moving as though the place already belonged to her.

Then another figure emerged.

Wang froze.

It was his father.

For a moment, Wang wondered if his eyes were lying to him. But there he was, unmistakable. His father stepped onto the pavement beside the young woman.

She smiled and led him toward the club entrance, walking ahead as if guiding him inside.

Wang couldn't look away.

Zain leaned in, his voice barely audible over the music.

"Bro… what's your dad doing with that girl?"

Wang swallowed.

"How would I know?"

The crowd thickened suddenly, bodies pressing toward the entrance. Zain grabbed Wang's wrist.

"Now," he muttered.

They slipped inside with the surge of people, unnoticed.

Inside, the music pounded, lights flashing in violent colors, voices blurring into noise—but Wang heard none of it.

His thoughts were locked on a single question:

What is my father doing in this club… with her?

And deep down, Wang sensed this question would not leave his life unchanged.

The young woman led Wang's father down a dimly lit corridor, slipping into a private room at the far end of the club. Wang and Zain trailed behind, keeping to the shadows, hearts pounding with every step.

When they reached the door, they froze. Two guides were stationed outside, their eyes sharp and watchful.

Zain whispered, barely audible, "Now what? They're not going to let us in, are they?"

Wang shook his head, trying to steady his racing thoughts. "We don't need to go in. We just need to hear what they're saying."

Zain's eyes narrowed, a hint of disbelief in his tone. "Are you saying you don't suspect your father? That he's… caught up with her?"

Wang exhaled slowly, gripping the doorframe. "It's not like that. I just… I need to know what he's doing in this club. That's all."

Zain glanced around, scanning the guards. "Then what? What do we do now?"

Wang's mind raced. The pounding of the music from inside the club felt like it was echoing in his skull. "I don't know… what can we do?"

Zain's expression hardened. "There's only one way. We'll have to ask him—directly."

Wang froze at the thought. Asking his father, confronting him—it was risky, dangerous even. Yet he knew there was no turning back now.

The heavy thump of bass from the private room behind the door made Wang's stomach twist. Every second they waited, the answers slipped further away.

Wang and Zain stood outside the private room for a few moments, hearts racing, thoughts twisting with every passing second. Suddenly, a young girl appeared in front of them. It seemed as if she had been waiting for them. She looked about sixteen, and her expression carried a strange seriousness.

Wang whispered softly,

"We need a keycard."

The girl looked at him and said,

"I've been waiting for you… I have something very important to tell you."

Wang's tone carried a hint of impatience.

"First, help me."

The girl's curiosity sparked.

"With what?"

Wang spoke quietly,

"My father is in a room with a woman… I want to find a way to hear what they're saying."

The girl's eyes widened.

"This club belongs to my father, and today he has a meeting with a very important person. That's why all the private rooms are locked today."

Wang gasped.

"And the person he's meeting… is it my father?"

The girl hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

"Yes… but think about it… how did they find out that I'm in a pregnant?"

Wang froze, stunned. He stared at her in disbelief.

"Is that true?"

The girl nodded seriously.

"It's true… but I just found out today from the doctor. I tried to call you because of it, but you never answered. That's why my parents must have called your father—so that this matter would come to light."

Wang's mind spun. His heartbeat accelerated, and questions multiplied. The purpose and the secrets behind this club visit were becoming clearer… yet the danger still loomed close

The girl had revealed everything, and Wang and Zhen immediately ran toward the room. Their hearts pounded, breaths came in heavy gasps, as if they were racing ahead of time itself.

But just as they neared the room, some guides blocked their way.

The girl spoke confidently:

"My father is inside—and he's also the owner of this club."

The guides responded firmly:

"We were told by your father not to let anyone enter."

Wang and Zhen gathered their courage and pushed their way inside.

The moment Wang stepped in, he exclaimed in shock:

"That's the woman who was with my father!"

The girl nodded for a brief moment and said:

"That's my mother."

At that moment, the girl's parents asked:

"What are you doing here, and who is this?"

The girl immediately replied:

"This is Wang. I have something very important to discuss with you."

Then, in a whisper, she added:

"We need to discuss the same important matter that you were going to discuss with Wang's father."

The girl's parents looked astonished:

"Wang's father? Who is that?"

Wang's father spoke seriously:

"I am this boy's father."

Hearing this, the girl's parents were stunned.

"Sir… this is your son?"

Wang's father nodded:

"Yes, this is my son."

Wang immediately realized that they knew nothing about the girl's pageant. He tried to gesture to Hanata to take her along.

But Wang's father saw them and asked:

"Where are you both going now? What was it you wanted to discuss?"

Hinata and Wang exchanged glances. Wang said:

"You're going to be a grandfather."

Hinata smiled and said:

"And you're going to be a grandmother!"

Everyone was shocked at this revelation.

Wang's father, furious, slapped Wang.

Hinata's father said:

"This is also our daughter's fault."

Wang's father said sternly:

"No, this is the fault of both of them."

And with that, the meeting ended.

Finally, Wang's father said:

"I'll talk to you both tomorrow about your marriage."

Hanata's parents bowed their heads and said:

"Yes, sir.".
