"The man knows. I'm sure without a doubt." She said with a sigh as she stared up at the clear blue sky.
Phillip chuckled beside her.
"No one would ever know by looking at Theodore alone, but one look at you when he is near and anyone would be suspicious." He chuckled again.
She sat up quickly and swatted his arm.
He burst out laughing.
"I can't help it." She muttered.
He pulled her down to the blanket with him.
"When are we getting to the food, Eve? I want to taste what you made."
She turned to look at him. "And what if it was poison?"
He gave her that impish grin of his. "As long as you eat it with me, I'll be happy to die knowing that you made my last meal."
Eve smiled. "What a silly thing you are."
"He told me of Theodore's childhood, Phil. There was not much to say as he was always a quiet boy, but it made me understand him even more. He said Theodore has a habit of punishing himself when he cannot fix things."
