Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Meeting My Future Wife

My life has been boring, ever since I was a child...

Fuck it, who cares!

It all came down to me dying in a shootout, like a common underling!

And that's it!

But...

"Are you still going to look at me?" asked the tall, red-haired girl.

I looked at her for a second, and then said...

"Yinling?" I asked.

"Oh? You know me?" the girl asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, sort of. You're kind of like a character from a game I used to play." I said.

"Well, that's true... Well, I'm not exactly her, I just started looking like that after I died." said Yin?

"So, you're dead too... But since you're here, does that make you some kind of goddess?" I asked.

"Partly... I don't like being called a goddess; it's a completely unnecessary label that neither I nor my family needs."

"Okay, I get it, but why am I here? I mean, shouldn't I be dead in the ground, being eaten by worms?"

"Have you always been such a pessimist?" Yin asked.

"Yes." - Well, at least as far back as I can remember...

"Well, yes, you're dead, and your body is probably already rotting somewhere."

"Well, as expected..." she interrupted me.

"But... You were actually lucky, I found your soul floating in the void completely by accident."

"Oh, let me guess, you're going to give me wishes or something like that, like in those novels about jerks?" I asked.

"Well, not exactly, you have no limits. So go ahead, what do you want? Just don't wish for the death of an entire universe or planets. I won't grant that."

"You know, I'm not some psychopathic maniac who wants to commit genocide."

"Says the girl who enjoyed killing."

"Hey, everyone I killed was a member of enemy gangs! I've never killed an innocent person in my life."

"But it's even worse, you killed them with a smile on your face."

"Well, you know... Okay, I can't justify myself." I said with a sigh, then looked down and exclaimed.

"Fuck, I don't have legs!"

"Of course not! You're a soul, a lump of matter."

"Damn, but why do I feel normal, as far as I can see?" I asked.

"Well, I'm no expert on this."

"Aren't you a goddess?"

"Just because I'm a goddess doesn't make me all-knowing! Souls existed before gods and goddesses."

"Well, that sucks..."

"You know, you're the first one who's starting to irritate me!" she said, sighing.

"Thank you!" I said, smiling... well, I guess I smiled... mentally.

"That's not a compliment!" she barked.

"Sigh, now I regret ever helping you." she said.

"Well, my life is in your hands, or rather, my soul... Why does that sound so romantic...?" I said, lost in thought.

"Hell no! I have a wife and kids!" she yelled.

"Calm down, Miss Goddess, you're not my type anyway." I said.

"That's great, otherwise I wouldn't want to explain everything to my wife."

"And why didn't you even raise an eyebrow when I told you I had children?"

"Should you have? I mean, you're a goddess, you can do anything! So why wouldn't a biological child of two women be born? It's not surprising. I'd be more surprised if you said it was impossible." I stated the fact.

"Anyway, we've been here a long time. Go ahead and say whatever you want and get lost, you're giving me a headache." the goddess said.

"As you command, mistress." I replied sarcastically, causing her eyebrow to rise in irritation.

Well, it was quite fun to tease her; she might be a goddess, but you could tell she was kind just by looking at her.

And I definitely didn't cross the line with the teasing!

"Okay, then I want to be Chisa." I said simply.

"Who?" she asked.

"Wait, didn't you play the game?" I asked, surprised.

"I died, right at the very beginning, so I don't know what's in the game."

"Then, can you read my memories or something?"

"Yes, I can." she said, flying over, holding out her hand.

I didn't resist and let her, even though I didn't really feel anything from her touch.

"Hmm... I've missed so many characters." I heard the goddess's voice.

"When was the last time you played Wuthering Waves?"

"I can't say for sure, probably 500 years ago." she said, and if I had a jaw, it would have hit the floor.

"Don't forget, I'm a goddess, so time has no meaning to me, not when you're an immortal being." she said, as if she'd seen my reaction.

"Well, you said yourself that you don't like being called a goddess, and so you ended up calling yourself one."

"Well, they haven't come up with any good alternatives yet. I don't think the term 'cosmic being' suits me." she said, then, waving her hand, I felt support beneath me.

Looking down, I saw clean white legs and a black skirt tucked into a sailor suit. Looking at her hands, I saw a black jacket she was wearing.

"Here, take this." the goddess said, handing me a mirror.

Where did she even get it from... Well, that's a stupid question, she's a goddess after all...

Looking in the mirror, I saw the face of a girl I'd only seen on my computer or phone screen.

Long black hair, braided with a red ribbon, red like her eyes.

I really had become Chisa...

Then I looked at the goddess...

"Uh... I'm not the real Chisa, am I? I don't want to have an identity crisis or a feud between my personalities," I said awkwardly...

Even my voice had changed, becoming much softer, and younger...

"Don't worry, this body was created from cosmic energy, so it's essentially an empty shell into which I shoved your soul." she said.

Which is good news, but also...

"Uh... I have a weapon?"

The same one from the game... How can I be Chisa without that sword or scissors?

"Well, imagine your weapon," she said, to which I concentrated, and indeed, a black and red scissor sword appeared before me.

Without thinking, I grabbed the weapon by the hilt, a little surprised, as I didn't contribute anything to its weight. Although the weapon looked heavy, and besides... It was clearly bigger than me...

But my god, she's so beautiful... Yes, she is, I own this sword, so for me, it'll be a girl. As far as I remember, her name was Kumokiri... Yeah, I think that's definitely appropriate for a girl's name.

"Satisfied?" I heard the goddess's voice, causing my gaze to rise to hers.

"Very." I said simply.

"Well, I'm glad. Anyway, is there anything else you want?"

"Uh... I don't know how much, it's complicated, so I'll understand if..."

"You want to travel to different worlds? I can do that easily." she said, as if reading my thoughts.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes! I'm not some Aqua. It's very easy for me to do that." she said.

"Does Aqua even exist?"

"Well, yes, although I wish I hadn't met her." she said with a sigh.

Then she snapped her fingers.

"You can travel to different worlds. Is there anything else you want?"

After her question, I thought for a moment...

I could wish for a harem of beautiful girls, but... I'd rather not... A harem isn't for me, too much headache and hassle...

In the end, I simply shook my head.

"Well then, I'm off!"

"Wait..." - but before I could finish, she disappeared, leaving me alone.

Damn, how am I even supposed to know how to get to other worlds? Damn goddess! I hope your wife gives you a hard strap-on!

"Okay, I need to think of something! I don't want to be stuck here." I said out loud, as if I had an audience or was just schizophrenic, which is possible.

I imagined the world I wanted to visit, and then I felt a vibration in space...

And before I could even look around...

"Watch out!!!" I heard a scream, followed by a person crashing into me.

It didn't hurt much, so I first looked at the person who had crashed into me. Since it was a girl, I took it pretty calmly.

"Ugh..."

"That hurts a little..." the girl said, rubbing her butt. Then she looked at me and quickly jumped up from the ground.

"Are you okay?!" she asked, grabbing my hand to lift me off the ground.

Yes, I've landed in the right world. Of course, I didn't think I'd immediately meet the heroine of this world...

Inglis Eucus...

I remember, from the anime and the novel I read after the anime, she was once a man, and even a king, but the goddess translated her as a woman, and a very beautiful one at that, with white hair, red eyes, and... rather large breasts...

When the conversation turned to marriage, she always said she wasn't interested in marrying men, and in her mind, she'd prefer to be with a strong-willed woman. But she never told anyone about her preferences, even though she had an ambiguous relationship with her cousin, although she thinks of her more as a granddaughter...

Well, since I'm here... Then, I don't mind being with her and showing everyone, including her family, her preferences. And I don't care that in her past life she was a man; now she's a sexy girl, about my age... well, age. This body... visual...

"Are you here?!" she asked, breaking me out of my thoughts.

"Uh... Yes, sorry, I was lost in thought." I replied.

"Sorry for knocking you down." she said, to which I simply smiled.

"It's okay, I don't mind being knocked down by such a beauty," I decided to flirt a little.

"B-beautiful?!" she exclaimed, blushing...

Well, in this medieval world of swords and magic, girls probably hadn't flirted with her before, well, maybe her cousin, and even then, it's unlikely...

"Anyway, where did you come from? I was practicing fencing here, and while I was executing a move, you appeared out of nowhere in my path, so I had to change my trajectory, turning around to avoid hitting you." the girl said.

"Uh... Actually, I don't know myself..." I said, lying to her.

"I see... Anyway, my name is Inglis Eucus, but to my friends, it's just Chris." she said, extending her hand. I took it, thinking about my name and deciding not to bother.

"My name is Chisa, just Chisa." I said, shaking her hand.

"Chris, you were training with a sword here... Would you like to have a friendly sparring match?" I asked.

"Uh, Chisa... Do you know how to fight with a sword?" Chris asked, looking me up and down. I saw that she was focusing more on my strange clothes, by this world's standards.

I simply smiled, and Kumokiri appeared in my hand, making Inglis's eyes light up. Yes, she is exactly like she was in the novel and anime, obsessed with swords and fighting, so I wouldn't mind sparring with her... When I was in the gang, my favorite weapon was a sword, of course, I understood that it was stupid to go with a sword against an enemy with a gun, but I couldn't give up swords, so I went to different training sessions combining different techniques.

"Will your sword hold up?" I asked, holding Kumokiri, who was clearly larger than me, but I held her with ease.

Inglis smiled and drew her sword, taking a stance.

"She'll hold up!" Inglis said, and lunged at me, which I blocked, but she was immediately ready with another lunge, which I dodged...

I hadn't even realized how long I'd wanted this, like this, without firearms, sword against sword...

My heart was pounding...

Smiling, I launched an attack, which she immediately blocked. Yes, her sword was capable of withstanding my blows, and this only made me more and more excited.

I don't know how long our sparring lasted; we probably exchanged blows over a hundred times, and neither of us could tell who was in the lead, nor did we want to.

Inglis, as she attacked, never stopped smiling, and her eyes blazed with the lust for battle.

I was sure we'd have a blast all night, but right before we crossed swords...

"Ahem..." a cough sounded, stopping us.

"Rafi? What are you doing here?" Inglis asked.

"You tell me! You haven't shown up all day, your mother's starting to worry! Chris, how come you said your training would be two hours, and now you've been gone for ten hours?" the girl chided her.

Ten hours? This is not enough, I could do it ten times ten hours!

"Oops... Sorry, Chisa and I just lost track of time during sparring." Chris said.

"Chisa?" the girl asked.

"Yes, that girl next to me is named Chisa."Chris said, pointing at me.

"Rafi, this is the first time this has happened to me! She gave me a decent fight, and I want to keep it up." Chris said.

"I'm so happy, but it's almost night, and you weren't there for lunch or dinner. You better get back now, or your mom will be angry."

"Okay..." Chris said, then looked at me.

"Chisa, I'm sorry to interrupt our wonderful sparring like this… And I almost forgot, this girl is my cousin, her name is Rafinha Bilford." said Chris.

Well, I figured they're practically always together... Well, actually, her cousin is pretty too, with rather short black hair and blue eyes, and she was wearing some kind of uniform.

"Hello." I said, to which the girl nodded...

"Right, Chisa, you said you didn't know how you ended up here, so you have nowhere to go?" Chris asked, to which I nodded.

"Then let's go to my house! My mom definitely won't mind!" Chris said enthusiastically.

"And tomorrow we'll continue sparring..." she added quietly.

"Well, I…"

"Listen to her, she's too stubborn." Rafina said, and in the end, I accepted the offer and we headed to Chris's house.
