" Babi ." Nathan softly called, going after her as she excluded herself from the rest of them.
Babi deeply inhaled, holding herself together.
" B .." Nathan pleaded, standing before her.
" i need to use the bathroom, Nathan," Babi said, avoiding Nathan's eyes.
She hurriedly walked off, rushing inside the tavern.
Nathan pushed his hair backwards, sadness and pain filling his face.
Babi had changed since Darnel's presence at the diner . Neither can he forget what he saw between them at the beach.
Babi washed her face in the bathroom sink , and she leaned forward on the sink, thinking through her emotions.
" What the fuck " Amir loudly said.
The laughter and chit chat from the clear being clearly heard in te bathroom she was in.
" i forced her on the swing," Darnel laughed.
" This motherfucker " Marieh laughed splashing water on Darnel all laughing more.
Babi deeply exhaled, bending in the sink washing her face again.
" What the fuck is wrong with you" Babi asked herself quietly in the mirror.
" Babi " Neacky called from outside the bathroom.
Babi deeply inhaled , she walked to the door, opening it .
" You're okay," Neacky asked.
" Superb." Babi smiled, stepping out of the bathroom.
" HAHAA...." Amir and Marieh entered the tavern too .
" Lemme get changed " Marieh said entering the bathroom.
Neacky, Babi and Amir waited outside the tavern with the rest. Babi went down sitting on the stairs.
" Your good " Nathan softly asked sitting down next to her.
Babi smiled staring at him.
" One might think i had kidnapped Marieh, y'all didn't have to come " Darnel showed up fully dressed saying .
" we all needed an excuse to skip class " Matt smiled.
They all chuckled, agreeing along .
" She is done , we can head back now," Amir said on Marieh, coming out of the tavern.
Matt and Kim leading the way , Nathan stood up as well , before he made a step further, Babi suddenly jumped up on his back clinging tightly onto him.
"B,..." Nathan shouted, he bent down struggling to have her off his back.
" HAHAA," the rest burst into laughter .
"Come on," Babi laughed ,refusing to get down.
"You're no longer that light weight that I used to carry around." Nathan said, yet properly holding her up for a proper piggyback.
"That's an offence to my girl," Marieh said, slapping Nathan on the hand.
"It's what you signed up for, bro." Kalvin laughed with others walking past them.
Nathan held Babi tightly, moving ahead, Babi relaxing on Nathan's back .
"Aren't you coming?" Amir turned Darnel and William, who were still seated watching the rest walk ahead.
William looked at Darnel, whose eyes were on Nathan and Babi.
Darnel clenched his fists and nibbled his lower lip angrily.
" That's exactly the same reaction she had when she saw you up on that swing with Marieh." William smirked.
" What " Darnel frowned.
"She was really hurt. I am sure she still just hiding it " William added.
" this is fucked up " Darnel exhaled.
" He really gets on my nerves," Darnel added , staring at Nathan, who was staring back at him with a smirk on his face.
"We are coming." William said, standing up
"Darnel!!!!!" Matt called after moving a small distance, but Darnel still not making a move. They all turned, looking at him
"Is he fine?" Kalvin asked.
"He will be fine." William smirked.
"I hate this feeling." Darnel mumbled to himself, standing up with his hands in his pockets.
He slowly followed from the back , his whole mood shifted and depleted.
"Oh wait, I had forgotten." Darnel suddenly stood and loudly said.
They all turned, looking back to him.
"Uhhh, i think i found who J is. " Darnel smirked.
"This fucker.." Babi angrily shouted jumping off Nathan rushing to him.
"What the fuck is wrong with you " Babi shouted.
She grabbed his hand, pulling him at far distance away from the rest .
Everyone sighed, looking at them, confused and curious about what exactly is happening.
"Those two are a ticking bomb whenever they are together." Amir noted.
"Honestly, Babi is not so much fond of Darnel, i'm sure he knows, so he intentionally gets on her nerves whenever he can." Marieh said.
"Do you think Darnel knows who J is?" Kalvin asked.
"What if you're all reading this wrong?" William commented with a smirk.
They all looked at him, absorbing in his statement.
"What do you mean?" Nathan asked.
" Just saying," William shrugged, his eyes still on the two. They all turned, looking at them.
Babi and Darnel stood at a distance, Babi deeply exhaled in anger .
" what the hell " Babi angrily asked.
"I am just saying, Miss Nancy also asked me to help her find J." Darnel said.
"Oh wait, to find me." He smirked.
"And?" She asked angrily.
"Due to high demand, i turned myself in." Darnel smirked.
"This bustard." She shouted with a hard kick on his crus .
"Fuck." Darnel bent down rubbing between his knee and foot.
The others watching were giggling hard.
"And why the hell would you do that," Babi angrily asked.
"Of course she wouldn't believe me , she thinks she knows me in and out, she is too confident I can't hide anything from her. So i decided to turn myself to these guys and see if they would believe me ." Darnel said, standing up.
" fuck you " Babi angrily said kicking the other leg.
" Ahah...." Darnel loudly cried in pain, rubbing the other leg.
"Why are you so angry with me?" Darnel asked, standing up again.
"Do you know the times I called you over the weekend, i'm sure you saw them, the messages I sent you, it didn't cross your mind to bother to call back or reply to any one of my messages?" Babi angrily said.
Darnel scoffed in disbelief and looked at her speechless.
"Is that why you're so angry with me?" Darnel asked.
"Fuck you" Babi angrily exhaled.
" I was so scared and worried for you." Babi breathed out.
"I only did that for a weekend, and you're that angry. Imagine how I felt for not weeks, months, but more." Darnel breathed out, his voice heavy.
"Was this revenge?" Babi asked.
"No, I just wanted to surprise you by coming to school today." Darnel said.
"This fucker." Babi angrily said still kicking him again more hardly on the first leg.

The other guys laughing yet so curious about their conversation that involves kicking him.
"I don't get it. Why are they fighting?" Marieh said.
As she moved forward to go to them, William held her hand.
"Give them time." William softly said.
Darnel stood up, smiling .
"I'm sorry." Darnel said as she turned to walk away.
She turned looking back at him.
"I didn't mean to worry you like that." He genuinely said.
"I am sorry too" Babi said.
"For the kicking?" Darnel smiled.
"No, for not responding back to you all that time, I truly am sorry, I won't do it again." Babi calmly said.
"If you're truly sorry then promise not to act the way you do with Nathan." Darnel said.
Babi angrily scoffed. She turned, then looked at her friends, then turned back to Darnel.
" The audacity of you asking me that," Babi angrily said.
" What?" Darnel frowned
" i am not swinging and swimming half naked with him , am i " Babi angrily said.
Darnel deeply exhaled pushing his hair backwards. William was right. Babi didn't like what she saw .

"Let's not involve Nathan, i love him as much as i do you, and at least he doesn't get on my nerves." Babi said furiously.
" Love him as much as you do me," Darnel lividly scoffed .
"Okay, I will remember that." Darnel said bitting his jaws.
"come we go to class, it's not a request but an order." Babi said. Marching ahead to join the rest .
"Going to class?" William asked when Darnel joined again.
"Apparently, Miss Nancy asked Babi to discipline me while we are here, so no choice." Darnel said.
The others giggled.
"Is your leg fine?" Kalvin asked.
"Glad I can walk. The lady has metals down there." Darnel joked.
The thing with Darnel, he was always funny and, most times, brightened the mood, which at times covered up how he truly felt on the inside.
"Did you find J?" Marieh asked.
" Marieh, I still love my legs and life, I promised I won't say a word till Babi is ready. Allow me to keep my word." Darnel said.
They heaved deep sighs really disappointed.
"You all sound disappointed." Babi asked.
"Nah, we're waiting on when you unflod those curtains for us." Kalvin said.
"Today has been tiresome, it would be great if we closed this day at a club. We drink till we drop," Darnel said.
"I'm in." Kalvin said excitedly.
"Darnel and I are the ones choosing the club." William said.
"I'm in then, rich people places, I love that." Matt said.
"Nathan?" Darnel asked, wanting his yes as well.
"I don't know." Nathan said, looking at Babi.
"Well, if you don't come, who will watch Babi, I mean you're her best friend, and in these clubs, we must ensure safety." Darnel said.

"Me too. i'm not sure, I have to wake up early for school tomorrow." Marieh said.
" Then I am in," Nathan said, which shocked everyone.
"You're going, and Babi is not." Neacky scoffed.
" Hmm..." Nathan smiled.

"Yes," Darnel said, then smirked.
" Boys' night , lame " Kim rolled her eyes.
"I am sure it's going to be boring " Neacky added.

" these boys can't have fun without us " Marieh replied.

The girls laughed, shaking their heads.
" Let's do this , we go separately, club separately, just same club. " Kim suggested.
" Deal," the boys smiled.
" And what do we the winners get?" William asked already declaring themselves winners.
"Mmh..." the girls reacted , all walking ahead of the boys once they reached the school premises.

" How did your mother let you come out tonight after you were out last weekend?" Neacky asked , staring at Marieh, who was driving .
Marieh, Babi , Neacky and Kim heading upside Zephyr in Marieh's red convertible.
It was late evening at around 7:30pm. The city sinning with a cool night breeze.
" didn't have to lie or ask , Darnel called her and handled it all " Marieh smiled.
" Aww...."Neacky and Kim shouted.

Babi bit her inner cheeks, feeling a certain way about it .
" You and Darnel, no." Babi rolled her eyes very disgusted.
"Is that the hate you have for Darnel speaking?" Marieh laughed with the rest .

The girls laughed
" she doesn't hate him but isn't fond of him ...huh...make it make sense," Kim asked.

Marieh's car pulled over at the front of a very luxury mansion.
" BiTCHES....AHHHHH!" Two girls screamed from up the mansion balcony, like they had been waiting for them.
All six burst into laughter. Marieh, Babi, Neacky, and Kim hurriedly rushed out the car , running inside.
The two rushed down the stairs, all excitedly shouting.
" AH... We missed you," They all shouted tightly, hugging each other .
"It's been long since we hanged out like this." Kim shouted.
" Yes..." They all screamed in happiness again.
" Vanessa, your mother...."
" She is not home," one the girls from the balcony replied.
" Let's go up , Celine and i have put together some outfits," Vanessa added.
Excitedly, they all rushed up to Vanessa's massively spacious and beautifully decorated room.
With bottles of champagne and glasses , strawberries covered in chocolate waiting .
Celine held up the bottle of champagne, popping it open and poured in all the girls glasses.
" five, two five," Vanessa shouted happily.
"Five two five " they all happily shouted toasting their glasses and drinking .
" These outfits are fire," Babi said, lifting out a few pieces and putting them on her body .
" You said it's a competition . So we are going all out, " Celine said.
" Which two boys joined the crew again?" Vanessa asked.
" You know them so well." Marieh smiled, picking out outfits.
"The prince of Zephyr William, and the most wealthiest family's son in Zephyr Darnel," kim smiled.
" You're kidding," Celine and Vanessa screamed.
" Nah...." they all smiled.

" Please, " Babi rolled her eyes.

" Not shocked , Babi doesn't like a lot of people," Vanessa smiled. All laughing.
" Neacky, if the kiss was great , maybe there could be...."
" No..."Neacky stopped them right there.
"For goodness sake , he is a Prince, and i ain't no Cinderella wanting to be saved. " Neacky said.

"we should do this again like this, without the boys obviously." Babi said.
"I'm thinking of a sleepover at my home. My mom would really like to prepare us one." Marieh said happily.
"Can't wait." Kim smiled.
Unlike Kim, Neacky, and Babi, who came from way humble backgrounds , that wasn't the case with Marieh, Celine, and Vanessa.
They lived lavishly and had whatever they could ask for .
Despite all coming from different backgrounds, they were bonded and extremely close.
" Haha...." they all burst into laughter ,trying on different outfits ,dolling up and dancing to the blasting music.
The night for them had already started being extremely fun even before stepping out the house.

Loud music blasting, lights dim, the place crowded with people dancing at the dance floor , the bar extremely busy and half naked girls and guys serving different tables.
The boys were already there , in the VIP section , and their table filled with only expensive bottles.
"Do you think they will make it?" Matt asked , all their eyes below at the entrance anxiously waiting.
" i don't think they can allow defeat like that," William said.

"Wait till Neacky gets completely harmed, and she will be your responsibility." Amir said, making all of them laugh.

"If Neacky already has a caretaker, then i guess Darnel will be looking out for his sister, Babi," William said , all bursting into laughter .
"Nah, that's Nathan duty, am told," Darnel smirked.

They all burst into laughter.
"Today, I have an even bigger fish. it's a shark." Darnel smiled, sipping wine.
"Don't tell me you called her here." William said in shock.

"It's our surprise to the girls, i'm sure you we'll all like her and her team ." Darnel smiled.

William laughed, shaking his head.
"Let's see about that," William quietly smiled.

William laughed.

The boys died of laughter and excitement.

In anticipation, they all turned looking down at the entrance .

All the girls laughed , gazing at her in agreement with Babi .

He stood up with her immediately walking away.
Babi drank even more not pleased by Darnel leaving with her .
William whispered to Vanessa and they looked at each other smiling, they both stood up walking away, the others banged the table teasing them.

" Get a room." They all shouted. Kim and Matt laughed
"Jealous" Kim shouted as she and Matt excused themselves to the private section of the VIP.

Kalvin, Neacky and Celine stood up vacating the table as well . Leaving Babi , Nathan and Amir and Marieh.
