Despite Kay's warning about staying out of trouble, I found myself venturing out alone. It all started with a cryptic text from Cherry.
'The boy arrives'
I responded with 'What?' followed by a paragraph's worth of question marks. Before I knew it my phone was ringing. I stared at the screen for a while, debating if I was in the mood to entertain my boss' antics on my day off.
Obviously, I folded.
"That boy I was talking about yesterday! The one that got flowers for you!"
"Might," I cut Cherry off firmly, "He might be the one that got me flowers."
Cherry laughed indignantly, "Suuuuuuure there's more than one romantic man in this city and he happens to have bought the same obscure orchid."
"It's not that obscure," I pointed out, "It's one of the more popular cultivars."
