Chapter 5
The seventh day of creation.
The aura of darkness swept over, dispersing some of the originally abundant power of light. Lucifer, standing on the mortal realm, looked up in surprise. In his vision that could penetrate space, he saw that in the two worlds that originally consisted of Heaven and the mortal realm, a new, swirling, obscure, and pitch-black world had appeared.
After that world was born, even the mortal realm was no longer pure. The other seraphim, who didn't understand creation, all frowned. As an extreme race of light, they instinctively rejected the now impure air.
"Is my god creating darkness?"
Gabriel, the only one who appeared in female form, poked Samael beside her. Her crystal-clear eyes were filled with intense curiosity and awe for the creator. Creating heaven and earth and all things—such a thing seemed unbelievable. Samael glanced at the other's disheveled appearance, then reached out to straighten the robe Gabriel had conjured. However, the woman's ample bosom remained a sight to behold, and he said with considerable displeasure, "Why did you become a woman?"
"I saw you all looked the same, so I couldn't resist choosing something different."
Gabriel looked at him innocently. This was indeed her reason for choosing this form. None of her companions had managed to create a female appearance, so she chose it out of curiosity. Besides, angels could be genderless; if she didn't like this gender, she could change back, so she might as well play around a little longer.
"Our god is perfecting the world."
The golden-haired seraph stretched out her hand, casting a protective barrier. Her azure eyes quietly observed the evolution of another world. Never before had she witnessed the splendor and brilliance of space's formation so closely. Even hell, shrouded in endless demonic energy, possessed power no less than that of Heaven at its formation.
Lucifer's gaze lingered more on the Creator God, who reigned supreme above Hell. The deity, shrouded in holy light, obscured his face, but the overwhelming pressure emanating from him made Lucifer gasp for breath. The angel's core was being drawn by the divine power of God, as if his soul could be easily plundered.
'Is this God…?'
With a single word, without raising a hand, he surveyed the world with unparalleled power, his supreme authority commanding the birth of a new world.
The primal power of darkness erupted in his palm, like a blooming flower of hell, beautiful yet madly beautiful. This energy, capable of easily destroying all life, was firmly controlled by the god. His long silver hair floated slightly in the air, and the holy light emanating from Jehovah flickered. His exquisitely handsome face was unreadable; he had lost all fear of this darkness.
The realm of light vanished after his birth, and the realm of darkness vanished from his creation. This was the best ending… the best ending for him.
His mindset continuously broke through barriers during creation, his understanding of the world deepened, and Jehovah instantly understood what it meant for Heaven and Earth to be ruthless, treating all things like straw dogs. Looking down upon the nine layers of hell that had taken shape, Jehovah remained calm, without the slightest ripple. From this day forward, his name would resound throughout the world, his glory would shine upon the entire world, except… Hell.
A flash of inspiration struck him. Jehovah, who hadn't originally intended to name Hell, fell silent for a long while. He thought of humanity's original sin; what was the darkness of the world? Original sin was one of it.
His fingertips trembled slightly as he placed his hand on his heart. His golden eyes, still so indifferent, wept bitterly when he extracted a wisp of gray gas from the Heart of God.
The golden divine tears fell from the clouds, splashing without a ripple in the endless purgatory, like the blood of that man.
As if half of his soul had been torn away, enduring unspeakable pain, Jehovah sprinkled this wisp of gas upon Hell. The final negative power emanating from God was more terrifying than any darkness. Elegant fingers traced lines in the air, creating ripples of golden binding seals. With the declaration of the Creator God, all the overflowing darkness was imprisoned in this newly born world.
"First Layer: Netherworld Hell."
"Second Layer: Hell of Indulgence."
"Third Layer: Hell of Gluttony."
"Fourth Layer: Hell of Greed."
"Fifth Layer: Hell of Wrath."
"Sixth Layer: Hell of Heresy."
"Seventh Layer: Hell of Slaughter."
"Eighth Layer: Hell of Deception."
"Ninth Layer: Hell of Betrayal."
Hell, imbued with divine power, was born with a roar. Countless demons, born from the convergence of darkness and life, awoke from the void. Plants tainted with demonic energy spread menacingly across the land. Precious minerals from the earth shimmered with beautiful light. Various chaotic demonic energies spontaneously generated. Countless dangerous yet seemingly harmless things appeared. This place held all the dark power of the world.
Jehovah lowered his eyes and chuckled softly. His eyes, veiled by his eyelashes, were pure and clear, like a mirror reflecting the world, a true reflection of the Creator God.
"Below the ninth circle of Hell lies the abyss of chaos."
The last primordial power was compressed into a small piece by God and cast into the deepest depths of Hell. A majestic and awe-inspiring voice announced the final step.
Throughout the creation of the world, none of the beings who witnessed God's creation understood why God wept. Only the first demons born sensed that faint…but precious, kindness.
At the same moment, the laws of the world formally acknowledged God's achievement in creation.
Jehovah glanced at the seraphim still on the ground. With a slight divine will, an invisible force moved them to Heaven, the abode He had created for these creations.
Having created only Seraphim at the first level of the three orders and nine ranks of angels, Jehovah had to mass-create all angels on the last day of creation. He could only pay slightly more attention to the second-rank Cherubim; the others were beyond his capacity, as all angels combined numbered a hundred million, and even God couldn't meticulously craft each one.
In his busy work, Jehovah suddenly remembered a few creatures he had forgotten to create. Feeling his power dwindling, he reluctantly instructed the Seraphim to use the chieftains of the dragons and elves as models for their creations, ostensibly as a test.
The Seraphim, devoted to God, naturally accepted the task without hesitation, feeling immensely honored to have participated in creation alongside God. Lucifer and Metatron, in particular, as the leaders of the Seraphim, painstakingly created perfect beings, allowing no room for error.
"I created this world, and you should honor me as the Creator God. All living beings shall have their place, and the seventh day shall be designated a 'Holy Day.'"
After all things in heaven and earth had been born, Jehovah breathed a sigh of relief and joyfully blessed the seventh day, designating it a 'Holy Day.' The reason was simply that he had finally completed his mission and could rest. He had never imagined that creation, seemingly requiring no independent creation of a world, would be so arduous, constantly worrying whether he could sustain himself until the seventh day of creation if he continued to overdraw his resources without restraint.
The main reason was the short timeframe. God's pursuit of perfection in creation further weakened him. The birth of Heaven and Hell had consumed too much of his power. Even though he had used the essence of darkness to fill that bottomless pit, he had only saved a third of his energy, but it was this third that gave him the opportunity to continue.
"Lucy, Meta, arrange for them to reside in the nine heavens according to the hierarchy of all angels."
After speaking gently, God's figure disappeared before all the angels.
This creation experience brought him profound insights, elevating his state of mind and allowing him to completely shed the influence of his past life as a human. By exchanging the merits of creation for the severing of humanity's impurity, the Creator God, with a pure soul, finally fulfilled his identity as the God of Light. Now, he needed to return to the Crystal Heaven to restore his power.
