Chapter 4

After thinking for a long time, hesitating for a long time, and waking up again after several periods of deep sleep, Jehovah looked at the unchanging world and finally felt somewhat weary.

He finally understood why gods liked to sleep. Boredom was such a terrible thing. Besides cultivating, daydreaming, and sleeping, the lives of gods had become incredibly monotonous.

If this continued, he would eventually become so lazy that he wouldn't even want to open his eyes, and would sleep until the end of time. This was probably what humans meant by loneliness: having no desires, no wants, no one in the world communicating with him, and the laws never bothering him. Even if he was a soul transmigrated into a god, so what? No one in this world would care.

The sense of superiority that transmigrators possessed did not exist for him. Such superiority was merely the arrogance born of understanding fate. As a deity, he had no need to be complacent about trivial matters. If he so desired, he could use his power to glimpse the past and future—it was not impossible.

His will transcended time and space, was neither born nor destroyed, formless and imageless, an infinite and eternal absolute existence, a pure spirit and a sacred radiance.

His past self as a human was vastly different from his present self, perhaps because there was nothing to compare him to. Words like unique and supreme held no special meaning for him. The consciousness of the void and darkness was sealed within him, and the domain of light was an extension of his power. The entire chaotic void was utterly silent, deathly still.

There was no blowing wind, no flowing water, no flickering fire, no expansive earth; darkness and light ruled this place.

There was also no source of creation, no language, no air, no birth or death, no coming or going—this was the primordial chaos.

With his eyes closed, Jehovah seemed lost in thought. Countless memories of the divine flowed before him like water, yet they stirred not a trace of emotion within him. Whose memories could be more monotonous than his?

Who was he? He was the creator god of Hebrew mythology, the sovereign of light, and the legendary God who resided high in heaven.

Then, it was time to fulfill his duty…

The earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

The so-called waters were not merely liquid, but referred to the entire surface of the void and darkness, independent of this world yet transcending it. With Jehovah standing there, there was no darkness around him.

First, he created the heavens and the earth, and then gave the world day and night.

"Let there be light."

The clear, cold voice, though not loud, resounded throughout the entire world. Jehovah was about to begin creation.

On the first day, light reappeared in the world, spreading without God's control, illuminating the darkness.

Reaching out, it felt as if he could grasp the entire world—was this the power of the Creator God…? Jehovah's mind was immersed in a wondrous state. The restlessness and resentment he had felt earlier were gently swept away. Indeed, being able to create a world of his own was a fortunate thing.

Various strange fluctuations, unseen by mortals, manifested in his thoughts. Jehovah blinked; he suddenly sensed the difference between himself and the legendary Pangu. Pangu single-handedly created the primordial world from chaos, while he had set his sights on the entire chaos from the very beginning, wanting to possess the chaotic void…

If creation succeeded, he would be the master of the chaotic void, the laws of chaos the embodiment of its will. Even the laws themselves would be unable to prevent his demise…

Indeed, this was the true reason he could escape unscathed, the origin of his exalted status.

"Past and future, I will be eternally immortal."

Jehovah murmured softly, his golden eyes for the first time resolute in his goal: to create the world, to walk a path even the Creator God rarely traversed.

"Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water. Let the waters under the heavens be gathered to one place, and let dry land appear. Let the land produce grass and seed-bearing plants, and fruit-bearing trees according to their kinds, each with its seed in its own flesh."

The next day, he exerted all his strength, using his great will to separate the power of the waters, allowing pure air to appear in these places. The sky became the sky, the earth became the earth, and the sea was formed from the condensed water.

"Let there be lights in the heavens to separate the day from the night, and to serve as signs and as seasons, and as days and years."

On the third day, God casually uttered his decrees, and the world was thus divided into time, and his heart was free of any superfluous emotions. Even the sun, high in the sky, could be created with a single word. The desires of mortals were no longer his concern; his thoughts had no need to be tied to the past.

What is God? He is omnipresent, all-knowing, and all-powerful, existing at all times and in all places, with a thought.

"Let the waters teem with living things; and let birds fly above the earth and in the sky."

On the fourth day, the world finally saw many small lives, feeling the pulse of life. Jehovah was overjoyed. These were the creatures he had created, and thinking this, he blessed all that he saw.

"Let the earth bring forth living creatures, each according to its kind: livestock, creeping things, and wild animals, each according to its kind."

On the fifth day, Jehovah began to create wild animals. This time, he could fully unleash his imagination. All sorts of strange and wonderful animals appeared before Jehovah, one after another being cast into their proper places, until God felt he was running out of inspiration, when suddenly he created an enormous serpent.

Gazing at the massive, scaly body covered in hideous scales, and noticing a pair of enormous fleshy wings, Jehovah mischievously named it the Chaos Dragon—Leviathan—and tossed it into the sea to play, startling the creatures dwelling in the deep.

God saw all that he had made and found it very good; and there was evening and there was morning. Now, on the sixth day, only a few things remained. Animals and plants alike were not the primary beings; they were not even creations, but merely byproducts of the world's birth.

Angels…

My creation, faithful believers in God.

A vibrant, bright light emanated from his palm, a white flame born of life itself was formed, pure divine power continuously flowing into it, providing the purest strength for the birth of this creation. Enveloped in holy light, Jehovah's expression was utterly indifferent. His golden eyes held the same usual lack of joy or sorrow, though he rarely spared a portion of his divine consciousness to focus on the birth of his creation.

Only one day remained until the deadline for creation. Jehovah pondered the consequences of failure, a question no one knew the answer to.

His palms warmed slightly as he looked down at the pure spiritual energy emerging from them. It wasn't hard to imagine that this being, once born, would possess a radiant light. The silver-haired deity waited a while, until the energy fluctuations became increasingly pronounced, then he knew it was time.

"A truly perfect creation does not exist in this world. Therefore, I bestow upon you a constraint, making you the 'most perfect' that I can create."

"Humility, tolerance, gentleness, generosity, zeal, temperance, chastity..."

As each word God uttered in his contemplation became a constraint, the seven virtues combined to create the strongest power of light. The seven virtues of purity will be the constraints placed upon all angels in the future. However, he gave the first angel the strongest restriction, in exchange for the strongest power. The more one obeys and agrees with what he has set, the greater the power gained.

"These are the seven virtues of angels, and you are the foremost."

As soon as the deity finished speaking, in a flash of fire, beautiful white flames transformed into a slender figure. Six snow-white wings, tinged with flames, unfurled in graceful arcs, a hazy holy light emanating from them.

The golden-haired angel's incomparably handsome face almost eclipsed the stars. His fiery golden hair cascaded over his naked body; he was God's most perfect creation. He hovered silently in the void, pure holy light swirling around him, with faint, transparent fluctuations of spiritual energy visible. However, the angel's eyes, which should have been open, remained tightly closed, unawakened.

"My child, it is time for you to awaken."

With an extended index finger, Jehovah gently touched the forehead of the golden-haired angel, his voice unusually gentle as he formally awakened the being.

"Your name is Lucifer, your rank is Upper Third-Order Seraphim, your title is 'Phil'."

His golden eyelashes trembled slightly, revealing a pair of vast, boundless azure eyes. His clear pupils, like those of a child, were unfathomable, perfectly inheriting the essence of light—holy and flawless. No wonder he was the first angel born into the world; even Jehovah couldn't help but feel a sense of goodwill, for he, after all, still cherished the light.

The newly born angel seemed momentarily dazed. After briefly receiving the inherited memories from his soul, he looked at his creator, whose form was shrouded in a halo of light. The Seraphim, bestowed with his true name, gracefully knelt on one knee, a glimpse of snow-white neck skin peeking out from his golden hair, bowing his head in respect and submission to the Creator God.

"My God."

"Creation is not yet complete. Go and stabilize your power. More of your companions will be born later. As the first Seraphim, you should explain things to them."

Jehovah glanced at the clean spiritual energy emanating from the angel. Though dense, it was also chaotic, indicating that this creation had not yet fully mastered the power due to being given too much before its birth.

With Lucifer as a precedent, the flame in Jehovah's palm turned golden, significantly reducing the power fluctuations. This allowed the other Seraphim to be born into this world more quickly. Belial, Gabriel, Michael, Asmodeus, Beelzebub, and Samael were born in succession.

Moreover, the last Seraphim born also gained immense power. With Jehovah's tacit approval, even though his power was not comparable, Metatron's status was no less than that of the first, Lucifer.

With no time to arrange matters for the Seraphim, Jehovah entrusted them to Lucifer's care and entered the crucial step of creating his divine kingdom—his future abode.

A vast and boundless divine power of light spread out, and after several adjustments, the divine kingdom in God's heart finally evolved into the form he desired.

The Nine Heavens resembled a multiverse of interconnected rings, their profound and mysterious trajectories appearing and disappearing, as the radiant and holy heavens slowly unfolded before the Creator God's eyes. The closer to the center, the greater the spatial density, and the more subtle and intense the condensed power fluctuations became.

"The first heaven, the Heaven of the Moon, is inhabited by the lowest three ranks of ninth-grade angels."

"The second heaven, the Heaven of Mercury, is inhabited by the lowest three ranks of eighth-grade archangels."

"The third heaven, the Heaven of Venus, is inhabited by the lowest three ranks of seventh-grade power angels."

"The fourth heaven, the Heaven of the Sun, is inhabited by the middle three ranks of sixth-grade power angels."

"The fifth heaven, the Heaven of Mars, is inhabited by the middle three ranks of fifth-grade power angels."

"The sixth heaven, the Heaven of Jupiter, is inhabited by the middle three ranks of fourth-grade archangels."

"The seventh heaven, the Heaven of Saturn, is inhabited by the highest three ranks of third-grade thrice angels."

"The eighth heaven, the Heaven of the Fixed Stars, is inhabited by the highest three ranks of second-grade cherubim."

"The ninth heaven, the Heaven of Primordial Motion, also known as the Crystal Heaven, where my temple is located in the central grand cathedral, surrounded by the highest three ranks of first-grade seraphim."

Thus, the nine heavens are formed, only hell and the abyss remain.
