"Uhh... thanks." Jerome took the money and let out a deep breath; he finally seemed to calm down.
His thoughts raced, "That stare, I thought he was going to kill me!"
"It's all that earthquake's fault! I wouldn't be in this much trouble if only that thing hadn't come at the worst possible time..."
The traumatic flashback flashes through his mind: "I was just using the restroom when suddenly an earthquake struck...
"And the urine went all over my pants. What a trouble... It even took me some time to change..."
He gritted his teeth. "Oh man! That would be embarrassing if some of my fellow co-workers saw me like that..."
He shook his head. "Anyway, time to get out of this place quickly..."
Jerome hurriedly started preparing his backpack from the locker, gathering his stuff, and left.

Multiple council members are running around busily; some are typing on the hologram computer, their fingers running across the keyboard, assisted by AI robots helping to handle the chaos.
One of the council members in her mid-20s speaks:
"General, the monster seems to be charging its attack. Our response?"
Her voice carries a mix of worry as she looks at the multiple futuristic floating monitor screens showing the Kaiju.
Lieutinant General Léo, wearing a dark cape, walked closer to the screens.
He has long, curly white hair reaching his shoulders currently in his sixties.
He speaks in a serious and professional tone: "Proceed with the plan." His arms crossed.
As Kaiju charges its attack, it is interrupted by a sudden hypersonic massive explosion on its face, causing the energy on its mouth to falter.
"Those tanks..." Lucien mumbled breathlessly.
The Kaiju stumbled backward, letting out a massive roar of pain that causes the ground to shake.
A rising electric hum can be heard a mile away; a heavy railgun tank is preparing to launch its attack.
The tank has high-tech, plasmatic, glowing light blue lines on its rear.
The projecting tube on the tank hums with electric plasma energy.
Ivy asked, "Oh, what's that? A new type of military tank, perhaps? First time I've seen such high technology." She sat on his shoulder.
Lucien added, "It is called the 'M73A8 LEVIATHAN.' It was created by the Gauss Vanguard Project team's scientific division. They test out new projects every year..."
His body glowed lightly and added, "The bullets travel at 8 Mach when fired; a single hit from that weapon will be devastating."
He then proceeded to leap through the buildings.
A few crews of jet fighters can be heard passing by; sound ripples through the air.
Codename F3 spoke through the intercom system: "Striking missiles in 3... 2..." The Kaiju fired an atomic breath toward the sky, hitting multiple jet fighters along the way.
F1 after witnessing it, spoke: "This is F1. F3 and F4 are down, over."
"Copy. Retreating to the rally point," Codename LV responded.
Team A and B adventurers from multiple guilds was making their way towards the Kaiju, ranging from B to S rankers.
"Falling Star!" A massive star lit up the sky from one of Lucien's spells.
He held his staff firmly while floating mid-air as the massive star was aimed towards the torso.
The Kaiju fired another atomic blast toward the spell, vaporizing it.
Axel shouted, "Inferno Burst!" A massive magic circle generated beneath the Kaiju, his mana exhaustion took a toll on him.
Before the spell could reach full effect, he collapsed unconscious to the ground.
Axel Pierre, an Grade Vl sorcerer, Mid-A Rank Mage 'Pyromancer' member of the Helios Guild.
His older sister, Verene Pierre, let out a sigh and commented, "Idiot, I told him not to push his limits too much..."
She is an Grade V sorcerer Low-S Rank Support/Mage 'Magewright' member of the Helios Guild.
Gard traveled at a supersonic speed, leaping from building to building, generating intense pressure waves that combined into a shockwave.
Verene then observed him just in time and called out, "Strength enhancement!" to temporarily boost Gard's strength.
Gard then landed a hit on Kaiju's leg, causing it to stumble backward.
Gard Bertrand, is an Grade lll sorcerer, Peak-S Rank Fighter, titled 'Supersonic' Vice captain of the Cernunnos Guild.
Roar! The Kaiju jolted in pain as it stomped the ground letting out a defeaning roar, causing everyone nearby to be blown back by wind and intense ear-splitting sound.
Lucien then shielded himself with his hands in a protective manner.
"Hold on to me!" Ivy firmly grasped his shoulders and clung to him as the gusts of wind hit them.
Suddenly an elf ear female, quickly dashed to Axel's unconscious body as she carried him hurriedly, getting out of the danger.
Verene made contact with a brick wall behind her preventing from getting pushed back by the wind.
Gard lost his balance and was propelled away several meters backward.
He impaled his sword into the ground, holding to it firmly, before regaining his composure, the wind slowly faded as Godzilla's roar came to an end.
Lucien violently landed beside Gard and muttered, "Ow, my back hurts..."
After a few moments, he restored his upright posture.
Meanwhile, Ivy her head partially stuck under the sand, desperately calling for help, "Hewwldp mssee."
Gard noticed Ivy's lower body and crouched, gently lifting her small foot. He muttered, "The hell is this small thing?"
After becoming momentarily stuck in the sand, Ivy coughed to clear it from her mouth.
She adjusted her skirt to cover her lower body, and exclaimed, "Hey—! I'm a fairy!"
Her face reddening, "Pervert! Release me!"
Gard heard her complaint, letting out a sigh, and released her foot as she hit the sand with her head.
She quickly regained back her composure before complaining: "Why did you let go of me!?"
Gard responded as his left hand runs through his hairline fixing it, "Are you an idiot? You literally said 'Release me!' two paragraphs ago."
"It's because my skirt went upside down..." Ivy's voice had a mix of embarrassment her face getting reddened each time she talks about that.
"If that's your reasonings then don't blame me for that, blame the physics—!" Gard barked.
"Y-you—!" Her voice abruptly stopped.
"Watch out!" Lucien shouted his eyes widened momentarily stared into the distance.
The Kaiju's tail came hurtling towards them in a high speed.
