CHAPTER 89 FORGE MASTER
Herald stared at the red katana placed on the anvil with interest.
The blade obsidian handle and guard seemed to absorb the light around them and the red long blade pulse with calm power.
Even Gerald, Herald spirit beast, came out of the pink furnace to stare at the blade with curiosity.
Fury stood beside the dragon pretending to stare at blade while stealing glancing at the dragon.
Roman stood beside Herald with brows raised at Fury.
"Remind again what the sword can do?"
Herald asked.
"Well when I first got it, it was just a regular katana. But as I grew in strength the blade follows, like it's linked to my soul, growing whenever I do. And it's indestructible, trust me I've tried "
Roman explained
"So, a soul weapon huh?"
Herald said
"What's that?"
"There are only two types of weapons known. A beast weapon, made from a beast crystal. And a spirit weapon, made by the spirit beast within a beast master"
Herald picked up the katana. Even he could feel the vast amount of power emitting from it.
But no matter how he tried activating it with spirit energy, the sword won't react.
He threw the katana at Roman and he caught it. The blade suddenly lighted up as energy poured out of it.
"Yeah, it's a soul weapon"
Herald thought.
"What's a soul weapon?"
Roman asked again.
"For now, all you need to know is that you're carrying an illegal weapon around"
"Wait... what...."
Roman's eyes widened.
"A soul weapon has the ability of endless growth based on its bonded user. While beast weapons are made from beast crystals, soul weapons are made from the cores of beast masters.
Low level beast masters core can't be used, but a transcendent core can.
He looked at Roman.
"That's why the weapon has been banned for generations. Whatever core your father used for that sword is beyond my level of understanding.
So you better use that careful "
Roman nodded "I barely use it"
"You're father must be crazy to create that for a kid"
Herald laughed.
"But I love the craftsmanship. Your father is a master forger indeed"
"Thanks. That means a lot. I'm gonna be a master forger too"
Roman smiled as he stared at the blade.
"Then come on, let's get you started"

"You already know the basics of forgery. So I'm going straight to advance lessons, enhancing weapon"
Herald began.
They both stood in front of a large iron table filled with strange black ores.
"Weapons can only be enhanced with a Magical rank crystals. Now each weapon strength, ability and durability depends on the strength of the forger.
In other words, a weapon created by an ascended beast master, will be weaker and different from the one created by a transcendent.
This is why multiple people work together to create enhanced weapons. But it's different from me cause I work alone. Yet my weapons vastly different from others. First reason is because of my spirit beast fire ability, an ability that can purify anything, people included."
He looked at Roman
"With my ability, I can purify the spirit energy I absorb and also purify my meridians and dantians. I can push myself to the Demigod rank and possibly to the Celestial rank, if I want to"
"So why haven't you?"
Herald chuckled at the question.
"I don't want to make an enemy of the kingdom. No one is allowed to evolve past the transcendent rank without a special permission from the King himself. That's a rule."
"A stupid rule "
Roman muttered.
"And besides, I love it here, Avalon is my home"
"Wait, that also means with your ability, it's possible to create medicinal products"
Herald looked at Roman with a mischievous smirk.
"You're a sharp kid. I recently dived into alchemy. But let's not go there"
"Alright so what's the second reason your weapons are different?"
"Right. There's a particular energy quite different from spirit energy. It's quite difficult to explain and it would take years for you to master, that is if I decide to teach you "
"Wait... do you mean...ki??"
Roman looked at him
Herald raised a brow.
Roman raised his fist and channeled his Ki. An invisible pulse came out in waves.
"I have a lot of it"
Roman smirked. He remembered when Sir Apollo said that there were only a handful of people who could use ki in Avalon.
Herald was one of those few.
Herald stared him for a while
"Where did you come from?"
Roman chuckled.
"A mountain"
"Right..... Anyway there's a difference when you infuse ki into your weapons during combat, and when you infuse it when forging.
It's like ki was specifically created for forging. At least that's what I believe.
A weapon created with low tier crystals and infused with ki can stand against a higher tier weapon"
Herald faced Roman.
"So how strong do you think a weapon created with higher ranked crystals and infused with ki be?"
Roman couldn't help but smile.
The possibilities with ki were so large.
"Let's create a weapon, a chest armor would do"
Herald hand glowed and a birght pink double sided war hammer appeared.
He hung it on his shoulder.
Herald had summoned his spirit weapon.
Seeing this, Gerald's round eyes gleamed and she rushed towards him ready to create an armor.
"You better watch closely kid"
Herald focused on the black ores on the large table.
