The Last Stand
The final morning arrives. Leonidas tells his men to eat a hearty breakfast, for tonight, they would "dine in Hades." The Spartans fight like lions. When their spears break, they draw their short swords. When their swords shatter, they fight with their hands and teeth. Leonidas falls in the thick of the battle, and his men fight fiercely to protect his body until the very end.
