Chapter 9 - chapter 9 the god slayer protocol

Chapter 9: The God-Slayer Protocol

The revelation of the "Blind Spot" universes acted like a spark in a room full of gasoline. I didn't just feel curious; I felt vulnerable. If there were six other Gods out there who had been refined in the shadows while I was napping and eating pizza, then my "apex" status was a delusion.

"Vados," I said, my voice echoing in the hangar of the transport cube. "The Transcendental Rift isn't enough. We need something more violent. Something that breaks the concept of time itself."

Vados tilted her head. "There is the Event Horizon Chamber. It operates at a ratio of 1:100. One day outside is nearly four months inside. However, the temporal pressure is so intense it usually liquefies mortal marrow."

"They aren't normal mortals anymore," I snapped. "They are the pillars of my soul. If they break, I break. But if they don't... we go to Universe 7 with an army, not a squad."

The 100x Compression

I didn't just take the original five. I pulled five more "outliers" from the Tungsten-Saiyan hybrid colonies we had established. Ten warriors. Ten souls bound to my own.

We shoved them into the Event Horizon Chamber. Inside, the gravity was non-existent because time was too thick to move through. To survive, they had to constantly vibrate their ki at a frequency that mimicked the heartbeat of a star.

For me, waiting outside was an exercise in agony. Because of the Soulbound link, I felt every second of their struggle. I felt their muscles tearing and knitting back together. I felt their spirits touching the edge of the "Godly" realm.

Then, at the six-month mark (subjective decades for them), the link didn't just hum. It exploded.

A pillar of crimson and violet light erupted from the chamber, shearing the top off my palace.

The Rank and File: Eight of the ten emerged with the lean, flaming-red hair of Super Saiyan Gods. They had bypassed the ritual; they had simply forced their S-Cells to ignite through sheer temporal friction.

The Commanders (Kohl & Vane): They stood taller, their skin glowing with a faint purple tint. They hadn't just reached Godhood; they had touched the "Destruction" energy. Their power was now equivalent to Top, the Candidate of Universe 11.

The Apex (Cala): She stepped out last. There was no aura. No flash. But when she breathed, the vacuum of space rippled. Her hair was a strange, iridescent silver-black. She hadn't just reached the level of Jiren; she was standing in the doorway of something beyond. She looked at her hands, then at me.

"I can see the strings of the universe, Lord Champa," she whispered. "And I can pull them."

My own power surged to a staggering +150% base increase. I felt like I could extinguish a sun by blowing on it.

Detour: The Sleeping Lion of Universe 7

"Vados, set a course for Beerus's Temple," I commanded. "We're not waiting for the meeting. I want answers, and I want to see his face when he realizes I've brought ten Jiren-level problems to his front door."

The trip across the universal border was a blur. We didn't sneak. We arrived like a thunderclap. The transport cube slammed onto the grass of Beerus's planet, the shockwave shattering the nearby lake's surface and sending a school of fish flying.

"CHAMPA!"

A roar echoed from the central tree. Beerus emerged, wearing his pajamas and holding a half-eaten leg of some prehistoric bird. He looked livid—until he saw who was standing behind me.

Whis floated down, his eyes scanning my ten warriors. For the first time in eons, the Angel of Universe 7 stopped smiling.

"Oh dear," Whis murmured. "Lord Beerus, I believe the 'friendly rivalry' has officially ended."

The Confrontation

"What is this, Champa?" Beerus hissed, dropping his food. He flared his purple aura, but compared to the collective weight of my Soulbound squad, it felt like a candle in a hurricane. "Why have you brought an invasion force to my home? And why do they all smell like... me?"

"They don't smell like you, Beerus," I said, stepping forward. The ground turned to glass beneath my boots. "They smell like the new standard. But that's not why I'm here. I met some friends of yours today. From Universe 16."

Beerus froze. The anger in his eyes was instantly replaced by a cold, sharp dread.

"Xylo," Beerus whispered. "You met Xylo."

"He invited me to a party," I said, leaning in until our noses were inches apart. "A meeting of Eighteen Gods. Now, you're going to start talking. Why was I told there were twelve? Why is the Great Priest hiding six monsters in the basement? And most importantly... why are you shaking?"

Beerus didn't snap back. He looked at Cala, who was staring at him with the cold, detached eyes of a being who could erase him.

"Because, Champa," Beerus said, his voice trembling, "those six weren't 'erased' because they were weak. They were erased because they were too hungry. They don't just destroy planets. They consume the divinity of other universes to stay alive. And you..."

Beerus pointed a claw at my chest.

"...with your 'Soulbound' link and your God-level army, you didn't just become the strongest God. You became the biggest, fattest piece of bait in the multiverse. You've rung the dinner bell for the Six Hidden Horrors."

The Truth of the Blind Spots

Whis stepped forward, tapping his staff to create a holographic map. It showed the eighteen universes, but the outer six were arranged like a ring of teeth around the inner twelve.

"The Eighteen-God Summit is a trap, Lord Champa," Whis explained solemnly. "Every century, they pick the strongest 'New' God and... integrate them. They need your Soulbound energy to fuel their own stagnant realms. They've been waiting for a God like you to come along. One who loves his mortals enough to bind himself to them."

I looked at my squad. Cala stepped forward, her hand resting on the hilt of a ki-blade she had fashioned from pure destruction energy.

"Let them come," she said.

I looked back at Beerus. He looked small. For the first time in my life, my brother didn't look like a rival. He looked like a survivor who was tired of hiding.

"Get your gear on, Beerus," I growled. "And call that Saiyan of yours—the one with the blue hair. We're not going to that meeting as guests. We're going as a war party. If Universe 16 wants to eat, I'm going to make sure they choke on the bone."
