Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 Planning

After setting up another [Watchful Eye] where LO49 would appear, Sunny decided it was time to head back to the Forgotten Shore.

Mimic had gathered a staggering amount of soul shards and materials from the battlefield. It was so much that Sunny decided to leave a good amount of Transcendent soul shards.

If Sunny of the past heard of this, he would be past bewildered. Who would've thought that someday Sunny would have too many Transcendent soul shards? Chuckling, Sunny found himself back in the Nameless Temple.

There was only so much he could know. It had been nearly four months since he returned. Thinking about his options, Sunny had a few. The first was the Death Game. This one needed a lot of planning.

If Sunny were to enter the Death Game again, he was worried. He didn't think that if he took all his incarnations, he would be fine. But the Death Game had a unique mechanism that separated Sunny from his domain.

It even separated him from his incarnations in the past, while messing with his soul sea as well. He couldn't summon any memories that were previously created or shades. He doubted that it could take [Weaver's Mask], but it would definitely strip him of [Shadow Lantern] and any other memory.

Finally, the most important part. He had to steal it from the Jade Palace. There were a few reasons, but the first one was that if he were to somehow sneak in and challenge the Death Game again, it would release a Cursed Tyrant if Sunny were to take its place.

The silver lining was that he would be able to take control of the beast's minions. Before he had Slayer and Kai, they also took the places of Cursed abominations. So, fortunately, Sunny wouldn't necessarily be alone.

Sunny didn't want to release a Cursed Tyrant into Ravenheart. Nearly a million men, women, and children called it home. So, he definitely had to steal it. This time, he would cover the inscriptions on the board game and not think of the game, so he wouldn't get dragged in. If he decided to do it all.

That was option one. Steal the death game and the same doll house that Seishan had used to capture the Cursed creatures that spewed out. The Death Game itself offered good utility.

The second option was Mirage City. Sneaking in wouldn't be a problem. It was just that Sunny would be even weaker than he was in the Death Game. He wondered if going in as a Titan would change anything.

The worst part was that Sunny wasn't sure if he could wake up this time. Living his life as some cop forever. That was a bit of a scary thought. Mordret had woken himself up due to the affinity of his aspect, so Sunny wondered if he went to the hollow mountains and created a memory using the mist, if it could negate the effects somehow.

But that seemed like a gamble at most. It wasn't his source element and far from his expertise. He did have memories in the past that could give him experience, but he was unsure. Mirage City had stripped him of power even more thoroughly than the Death Game. Sunny would need to either take control of Bastion or include Anvil.

Sighing, Sunny thought about the headache it could cause.

The third option was the Eternal City. That seemed like the easiest one so far. However, it had its own challenges. That was the Great Titan, the Great Terror, and those stupid pirates that were there. With no Supreme Terror Nightmare to lull that big bastard to sleep, it would cause some major problems.

Nightwalker would also be in danger. With no Nephis to heal him, he would perish immediately after he left. But, Sunny did think of a few ways around that. In theory, he should be able to free Nightwalker without him perishing as a result of decades' worth of injuries accumulating.

Finally, the last option. Head to the Underworld and look for Broken Sword's corpse. It was a disturbing thought. He never told Nephis in the future about his lineage since she would immediately forget it, and it would probably be incredibly awkward to tell your girlfriend that you were looking for her father's corpse to eat it…

Running his hand through his hair, Sunny threw himself into a couch. He was in a dilemma. His army had become vastly stronger, but without Anvil's shade, they would have no armor. Which also upset him.

Ever since he and Nephis took control of humanity, it saw vast improvements, but that left little time for them to be soldiers again. Sunny never wanted to lead humanity. He knew a good soldier didn't make a good leader.

He was devastated when his soldiers died in Antarctica. He never wanted to go through something like that again. But the responsibility was too large to let Nephis carry on her own.

There were days when Sunny lamented the fact that the previous Sovereigns were total scum. If only they could have been beaten into submission. Then he and Nephis could focus on their newfound powers.

Leading took a massive amount of time, meetings, public appearances, and, most importantly, dedication.

He didn't want to fall into that again. He managed to conquer the Burn Forest in a fourth of the time it took last time.

Life was too short for regret, so Sunny didn't dwell on it in the future. But now, he couldn't help but think about it. Even Asterion wouldn't have been such a massive threat if Ki Song and Anvil were alive. Sunny and Nephis didn't even make it to the Tomb of Ariel before they had to turn back and deal with the others.

So now Sunny had a thought. If, for a moment, Anvil and Ki Song had to deal with a threat they knew they couldn't beat, would they fall in line? If he commanded one of them to give up their domain to the other, would they do it? Could he steal one of the Supreme's?

Sunny knew that Ki Song would be annoying to deal with. With so many bodies, she was a puppet master. Although she did have two glaring weak spots. Her daughters and, of course, her soul. Sunny could probably damage her soul via shadow. Making her abandon her thralls.

Then there was Anvil. Sunny killed him immediately after becoming a Supreme, but that was because his domain was incredibly weakened. Even then, Sunny didn't doubt that as someone with a Divine Aspect, he would lose to someone without it.

The King of Swords also had a debilitating flaw, making him unfit to be a leader. It is also fair to bring up that if Sunny never killed him, either the loyalist wouldn't need to be banished with Morgan.

Anvil had a more utility-oriented aspect. Sunny could use that. Thinking such thoughts, the next day arrived.

Sunny had made his decision on what to do next.
