Chapter 6 - Chapter 5: The Wish of the Emotion Regulators

When An Bao's mother noticed that he had once again mastered computer languages to perfection and was beginning to feel bored, she suggested to him: "How about learning other languages?"

On the surface, this seemed merely like advice to help him enjoy new interests. In reality, it was the collective wish of the Emotion Regulators—they all hoped An Bao would learn other languages, so they could privately pass that knowledge on to their own children. It was an unspoken understanding, and there was nothing wrong with it.

An Bao was already proficient in Mandarin, English, Vietnamese, and Hokkien. Now he was going to learn Japanese, Korean, and Thai. As long as An Bao had access to learning resources, he never refused—and he always mastered them thoroughly.

An Bao had once been a professor, but he quit because he couldn't stand teaching a bunch of idiots while having his time occupied. This freed up plenty of time for him to write books. Whether they were reference books, textbooks, novels, or joke collections—all of them made a fortune. He had long since stopped worrying about money.
